FOOD: The beef wagyu katsu is okay. Not worth the $65 price in my opinion. You're better off getting the other sets that are around $20+.
Cabbage that comes with the set is pretty good. The miso soup is not to my liking.
Absolutely love this place. Katsu (mixed Hire and Rosu) are meaty, tasty and not too oily. The right crisp! And flavour! Plus the rice and cabbage… hearty meal! Pair with umeshu too. For the kicker.
Their famed katsu really doesn't feel oily. Slightly under marinated for my pork katsu, but it goes well with the BBQ sauce. Their fried oysters are good though! Comes with free flow salad (and rice I heard). Was a good experience overall, slightly on the pricey end but considering the location it's
Delicious juicy Katsu with free flow of salad.
Worth all calories 🤤
There’s lean pork option and is very good too.
This place is very famous! You must reserve before coming! I was lucky enough to get a seat as I was the first customer for the dinner time.
Ordered the pork tonkatsu (less fat) because of calories haha. I thought it might be very dry but it come out to be still juicy and tender. Just nice for me.
Hidden gem along joo Chiat, perfect to satisfy my tonkatsu craving!! The curry was chef’s kisses 🤤 plus the rice and cabbage were refillable! It isn’t pricey, service was great too and worth the money. This place filled up later on so it’d be better to make a reservation before hand!
Attentive service. Cutlets have crunchy bread crumbs. the location is not convenient place as a bit far from MRT station but will come back again
Generous portions, juicy pork cutlets. 10/10 would eat again if I have my katsudon cravings.
