Review Jewel Cafe + Bar - Singapore

Nice place to chill. Burger was tasty and came in a huge serving. Umami prawn was a disappointment. There was a severe lack of "Umami" taste and filled with much confusion. Too many different textures in one dish.

Tried out their brunch menu. Not too impressed. Their eggs royale needed the hollandaise sauce to be more creamier and smoother. Wait staff were not aware of how their scrambled eggs were done. Had requested for more butter, but then was told that it will be given on the side instead. They know details about their coffee well. The staff were friendly and accommodating though.

Really good food and beverages. Is in a quiet area, the atmosphere of the coffee is nice, perfect to enjoy working here alone with the laptop or come and enjoy with friends. The service is really fast and very friendly. Also the prices are fair and I’ll say cheap for the good food quality and portions.

Went for their 1 for 1 entertainer app deal. Had the fried chicken and fish. Overall i find it a little oily and taste wise it's nothing fancy. The air-conditioning isn't too cold too, half sweating the full time. Other promo worth noting it's their beer promo.

Huge serving of coffee but also slightly ex-er than usual. Tasted great! Their food is good as well! Just note that lv 2 closes before 8pm...

Really enjoyed the chilli crab pasta and foie gras truffle rissoto and tiramisu! Place was rather quiet on a wed night, perfect for a chill session with friends.

Not very accessible by public transport and no ease of finding parking lots, especially during lunch hours. Food was yummy but nothing too special.. It was an enjoyable lunch experience though there isn't any returning factor..

Okay coffee and awful food. The food quality is poor, portions are small and the price is really not worth the food. I had the calamari and the chicken cesar, both of which were awfully disappointing. The calamari was about 10 dollars for five miserable soggy pieces, and the chicken cesar was 15 dollars for a few leaves decorated with slices of dry chicken breast on a small plate. Please don’t waste your calories on this place!

Love the ambiance of the cafe despite it being a distance away from the MRT. They are super generous with their portion of pasta and sides and definitely worth the price. Super love their chocolate thickshake (it's really rich in chocolate) and would totally recommend ordering their unique side dish- salt and pepper squid Definitely would come here again with my friends

Apart from the cosy sitting and the environment which is good, if you are really interested in having good food then it’s not the place! I had their full Breakfast and it wasn’t anything like I had a year ago! Quantity reduced! Taste poor and for $21++ no tea or coffee included with it which used to be earlier! Pasta too less for $18++. They have cut short on their portion size which doesn’t do the justice for the price!! Worse sweet potatoes fries I ever had there! Expecting good portion and decent taste for the bill of $70 between 2 ppl and a kid is not too much to ask for. And yes not kid friendly!!

Despite finding the place as it was touted to be a great place to study, got told to leave because we were simply using our laptops after ordering some food and drinks. Was about to order lunch when we were told to stop studying. On top of getting my order wrong the first time, now I was told to leave even when countless other people around the place were studying/using their laptops. Swiftly left the place without ordering lunch and I won't be back anytime soon.

I took my family for brunch and waited 40min for my food to only know at the end my wife’s eggs Benedict was sent to another table. My toddler’s French toast was sitting on the bench waiting to be served for 5min while the service staff was dabbling with the washed plates and utensils. Such poor accountability of service is very unacceptable and this will be my last visit to this place.

We went on a weekend early evening. Ordered truffle fries, chilli crab pasta and foie gras on cream risotto with shaved parmesan and mushrooms. Truffle flavor was lacking in the fries but the mains were much better. Chilli crab sauce has the right balance of spiciness and sweetness, and crab meat was sufficient. Risotto was rich and creamy, and well cooked. We ended the meal with an iced latte which was very good. Service was prompt and attentive. Will be back to try other dishes.

Awesome coffee, delicious food, fast service! I had the tenderloin garlic noodles, and some truffle fries. Would be good if the breakfast menu was also available at dinner time though!

I love this place but PLEASE fix or get better air conditioning. Afternoons are getting unbearably hot even in the air conditioned areas.

There are couple of cafes along the streets. Was there because it’s recommended. I was not disappointed. The dripped coffee was good & the cafe is comfortable. Next visit I will try the food :)

Nice and cosy ambience with friendly staff. We ordered a roma cabornara, omelette with mushroom and brioche french toast. Sad to say only the french toast with banana taste great. The linguine was too hard and the cream sauce was tasteless; the omelette was overcooked, dry and bland too... spent abt $72 for two pax, IMO not really worth it.

Satisfactory brunch menu and very good coffee. Location is also accessible. One of the better cafes in Singapore.

I like the cosy and easy feel, I like the rustic look. I like the 2nd floor too. Did not take any good there, but the cuppacino was good.

Horrible. Food took over 1 hour to arrive at lunch time even though the place was not full. We had to request that the appetizer be served first because we were starving - and this was only after half an hour. Main courses arrived much later. Excuse given was that chef had to clear the other entrees first - this is inexcusable, isn't this obviously the case at all eateries? I used to like this place but I'm not coming back again.

Food was horrible. Period. The only thing digestible I guess it's just the ice chocolate. Wasted my money on my dinner tonight.

Service is good, but food and coffee need to be improved.
