We tried fried chicken, duck fat fries and roasted Mediterranean sea bass. Highlight for me was the sea bass. It was beautifully moist. It completely blew me away. Utterly delicious!! 😋 friendly staff.

Our first time here at this quiet corner of the otherwise bustling food enclave at Sunset Way. Considering the portions (they are huge!) the food menu is very reasonably priced. We had the 1/2 Roast Chicken ($32) and Normandy Mussels, ($32) for mains, and shared a portion of Duck Fat Fries ($15, must try!). We were too full for desserts after that but we did takeaway a dark chocolate tart with us 😀
Will be back to try the rest of the menu. The lunch sets look great too!

We like the sea bream most. The fish and the sides blend well together. Roast chicken was quite a disappointment as it was too dry. Duck fat fries was interesting, portion was too big for two pax though. The lady server was very attentive, quietly observing and anticipating what we need. Service staff with such caliber are hard to come by!

Best sandwich I’ve ever had - totally worth the price! I could clearly taste every single ingredient, yet the ingredients went so well with each other. I also tasted the first pickle I’ve ever enjoyed here, amazing! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Also requested for the seat for best sunlight to take nice photos, and I noticed that my table came with a nice tablecloth and pretty coasters, unlike other tables. Not sure if it was intentional or just a coincidence, but it was appreciated!

My new favorite place to go in Singapore. The food here was out of this world. The staff is awesome - loved our server but the kitchen staff are great too. Had the chicken, the fish, all of the sides, the fries. And the pasta ... To die for. Everything was amazing, and can't wait to go back!

The tomato/cheese appetiser was sweet and flavourful - i want more! The roast chicken looked so ordinary but it was moist, tender and delicious - the best i have tasted in a long time.

The fried chicken as I was told was French style. Unique taste, rather different from the usual fried chicken that we are familiar with. Taste was not too bad, still prefer the more familiar fried chicken taste.
The side dishes that came along with the fried chicken were amazing and delicious. I can't really tell what we're in there (I saw eggplant, cauliflower, mash potato, many other stuffs).
Somehow I enjoyed the side dishes more than the main 😂
By the way, the ambience was chill and the service was friendly.

The duck fat fries was flavour explosion man.. 🤤 and the roast chicken was so tender. I always over order when I come here cuz the portions are huge. Maybe can order 1 main and a few sides to share 🤩
Relatively pricy so be prepared!

The food seemed uninspired and poorly executed. None of the dishes looked like they do in the photos.
Chicken - unevenly roasted, dry and overdone in some parts, pink and under in other bits. Did not pack much flavor.
Pork - brined to a point it was almost cured. Had a texture similar to ham or forced meat. Flavors were alright.
Mussels - tiny and fishy. Wine sauce was lacking any depth. $27 for maybe 20 tiny mussels served in a paper bowl and 3 slices of Delifrance French loaf seems a lot.
Sides - slaw had a slightly strange flavor which we think might have been the dill. Under seasoned. Roasted potatoes were alright though each dish only had 3 of the baby potatoes each.
Spiced tea was served in a greasy bottle. It was devoid of any flavor although it had the aroma of some of the advertised spices.
It’s kinda surprising the fare was of this standard so early on, despite the many glowing write ups. It could be an off night but since this was a Friday evening, I would’ve expected everything to be made with particular attention.
I hope things improve here, it would be sad to see a fledgling new business go under.

Creamy curried mussels: The sauce was delicious; we really enjoyed soaking the warm, crispy bread with it, but unfortunately even that could not mask the taste of the less-than-fresh mussels. We thought it might have been just 1 or 2 that had gone bad, so we tried up to 4. Still fishy. We returned the dish to the kitchen (we were still charged the full price though, since payment was upon ordering).
Roast chicken: About half of the chicken was still pink, and blood was oozing out. We highlighted this to the chef/staff and were told that the chicken was already cooked and safe for consumption, and that if it were a concern, we could have informed them to cook it longer. I guess this may be subjective, so I will leave a picture for your judgement. I guess we were simply not used to chicken served medium rare...
That being said, another chef/staff was more receptive and open to feedback. He even offered some cake for us to bring home, which was a nice gesture. Also, the roasted baby potatoes were yummy, as was the salad (the one with the sweet, long tomatoes).

Hearty food fare. The signature chicken was tender and juicy. The pork collar dish was tasty. Loved the beef rib especially accompanying green chilli. Enjoyed our meal this evening. Will be back for sure!

The laid-back atmosphere that serves heart French basics with quality and heart.
The roast chicken is the bomb~crispy moist and buttery all at the same time!
Mustard sauce for the pork collar something to cry for - literally
The best part? Locally brewed craft beers to go with the food.
Great staff who care if you are having a good time with their food. That Counts

Very unpretentious place for good decent French food. It doesn't try to make it's dishes look good for Instagramers. It doesn't try to make the place look fancy or Instagram worthy. You find daily specials on a piece of paper pasted on the wall with masking tape and an open kitchen to watch Chef Anthony in action in plating out the orders. But instead it focus on taste and texture. The roast chicken is extremely tender and juicy from it's brine bath and there is hardly any need for over seasoning to bring out it's taste. The pork collar is another worthy dish to try, the sauce that came with it is a match made for each other. The dessert apparently are made by the chef himself and it deserves your attention. As usual... Nothing fancy in presentation but enough to let your tongue decide if you want more.
It's a quiet place and perfect for that quiet date night which doesn't make you feel that you need to quickly finish your food and clear your table for the next customer. I rate it highly for Valentine's day and special events dinner which doesn't cost a bomb but yet give you the intimate dinner date with your love ones.

Great food. Friendly chef. We tried the Roast chicken and pork collar. Very tender and not jelat. The chocolate tart desserts and banana cakes are very nice too. Will be back.

Finally made it for Fried Chicken Day. All the dishes are very unique in taste. Wish the chicken can be more cooked inside, there are still red stains. Everything else should be still OK.

I am hardly able to find a favourite restaurant in Sg. There are many fancy $$$ places, but not comfort foods which you can find it at Summer Hill. Their dishes are made with love, my kids love their foods. Desserts are heavenly delish!
