Their fish and chips and breakfast platter with poached egg is nice. The portion is generous as well! We don't know exactly why but it gives a vibe of eating at the school canteen. Tables are quite close to one another. It's close to Mac Ritchie reservoir and tree top walk so good for a nice brunch there after your workout. We needed to wait for a while to get the table. Can be quite crowded on weekends especially in the afternoon around brunch hour

Trying out one of the many cafes along the stretch of upper Thomson road. Prices are reasonable & inclusive of all taxes. Portion sizes are good too. Coffee is slightly sour which is not to our liking, but still acceptable.

A very nice ambiance cafe! The sourdough bread was very nice - chewy and soft! The truffle fries are also quite nice - they are generous with their truffle oil 😋 The Shrooms on Toast was a bit gelak, so we couldn’t finish the fries in the end 😳 Downside was that this meal was quite expensive :(

Freshly-renovated, the new floor plan looks more spacious and more inviting. Coffee is great as usual, this time I tried the iced salted caramel latte, and I don't like it too sweet so this is just nice. They also have matcha latte if you prefer that. They have the brunch staples: breakfast plate, steak and eggs, eggs and toast (brioche in this case) and also a selection of Japanese-style pasta and rice meals. Not in the photos is their chicken mac and cheese which is probably my fave in their menu.

Has an early appointment at upper thomson and wanted to find a place that serve nice breakfast. After googling found this place that has good review and open the earliest - 9am! Had a truffle mushroom pizza, the iced cold brew and the iced mocha. All very nice. Truffle mushroom pizza: The base is thin and crispy - very crispy like biscuits. They added lots of different ingredients, mushrooms, tomatoes, capsicum, olives, olive oil and truffle oil. All goes nicely together and offer lots of different flavor. It is a very nice experience. The portion is quite big and suitable for 2 persons. Iced cold brew coffee: Nice and smooth. Comes in a nice bottle. Iced mocha: I think this mocha is really special. Not sure what type of chocolate powder they used but it complements the coffee very nicely. Each sip very tasty.

The food and service were excellent. The Knockhouse Cafe's food portion was generous too. If I may suggest one area for improvement, I believe the cafe could improve their Gyutan dish. It might be better to serve the Gyutan as a Donburi, in my opinion. For your consideration. If not, I enjoyed my time at Knockhouse Cafe, and I'll return to try the other dishes.

Beef stew is pretty good. Steak is a bit salty but nice and tender. Hot choc milk drink super yummy. Rest had saba fish and most of the rest of us had steaks

We had a pleasant experience as the staffs were attentive and friendly. Their Valentine's dinner menu priced at $68(incl. GST) for 2 pax, was superb and more than just value-for-money! The serving portions were extremely generous. The mushroom soups were fragrant and sumptuous. The main platter comprised of iberico pork, chicken thigh, french sausage, fries, broccoli, corn, and beetroot. The chef managed to bring the best flavour of each component in the platter. The desserts were acceptable albeit I find the creme brulé a bit unique with strawberry and peach topping. But that's probably attributed to my personal preference for less acidic desserts. Great dinner overall. We'll definitely return again!!
