Excellent food and authentic Nasi Padang. Price is reasonable here. Do try their specials - especially if they happen to have the Gulai beef tendon.
Service five stars. Food five stars. Ambience five stars. Liv this place!!
Paru belado, sayur campur, lemak singkong, sambal ijo.....semua sedap. Parking setapak jer.
Service baik.
i feel the standards have dropped since the last time i dined here, when i used to feel it was a 5 star experience. now, the sambal has no spice at all. and the beef rendang was quite tough. still enjoyed it, so i’m
giving it a generous 4 stars.
One if the OG nasi padand places.
Went there and had to wait a short queue. Ordered the beef rendang with rice. For the price, it was very good. The beef was soft and the sauce was very deep and flavourful.
Very much a recommended place to try if you are in the Bugis area.
First time here.
Nice cosy atmosphere.
Delicious authentic Indonesian cuisine.
Price is on the high side but worth it.
If you are looking for authentic Padang food, this is the place to go. Expect to queue if you wanna lunch here. I have been to Padang and the dishes are the closest you’ll get. However, the heat from the chilli is rather mild unlike those in Padang. Perhaps to cater to the palate of the international diners here.
Their signature dish is the Gulai Tunjang (tendon in spicy coconut curry). I love love love this delicacy! Served in a claypot and reheated before serving. The tendon was tender and melt in your mouth. Padang food will always use coconut and packed with chilli and spices; and this dish did not lack the flavour!
The beef in the rendang was succulent. The taste of fried coconut (kerisik) came through nicely. It was sweet and spicy but lacked the heat.
The pucuk ubi lemak (cassava leaf) was a bit tough as they did not use the young leaves. But I had a better one here before.
The bergedil was pretty huge. It was rather simple but tasty. Dip it with the Cabe Goreng and it will bring the taste to the next level!
The fried salted fish (not too sure the type of fish) was crunchy, mildly salted and super tasty!
Just like eating any Malay food, Padang food is typically eaten with rice. Don’t worry about the taste of each dosh competing with the other, cos the Malays enjoy a good celebration of taste in our mouth!
If you're indonesian looking for authentic indonesian padang food, here is the best place in sg. After living in sg for some time, i feel very betrayed that most padang restaurant in sg is malaysian padang. It's different! Very different! So, when i found out this place, it's heaven. For local or malaysian, maybe this place just another padang food, but for indonesian, this is the legit padang food. Even better than some padang restaurant in indonesia.
Their rendang is very good, meat is very tender (which is kinda rare in indonesia). They use kampong chicken which i love. Nangka (or jackfruit) is very good too. Daun singkong (or casava leaves) is also amazing. If you want to separate your food, you can ask.
The flavours were good but the beef rendang could be more tender and the sotong could be fresher and firmer. The terong was ok but plain. The oxtail soup was not bad - both the soup and the meat.
Good padang food. Great quality and variety of choices. Teh tarik was nice too. Only a/c was too cold. Can consider outdoor seating next time.
