Review Habitat Coffee - Singapore

Grace Chia
Went for breakfast at about 9.30am and lucky we had the sense to make reservations. The place got filled up quite fast! The cafe can seat about 30 persons and I like the spaciousness. Besides pastry like cakes and scones, this cafe serves big breakfast style kind of brunch items. There’s also spaghetti dishes and rice bowls. Service was prompt and not intrusive. I had the Jacob’s wrap and it was filled with cheese, hashbrown and bacon. Is really value for money. I was too full and couldn’t order and desserts. Will come back again.

This gonna be one of my favourite go to place. Great service, reasonable pricing & most importantly the food are very delicious. Love the truffled scrambled egg dish, strong truffle & butter aroma in the runny scrambled egg; unfortunately the salmon is slightly over-done. Will be back to try other dishes!

What a lovely cafe that’s located at a hdb estate. Love the interior colour palate with the pop of green. Food is decently priced and quite tasty giving off a bit of the homely vibes. We enjoyed the avo toast with prawns the most; the prawns were big and crunchy. I had the long black which was light, fruity and very drinkable. It’s a very comfortable place to hang out, though it gets quite noisy if the cafe is full. I am so wishing this cafe was in my hood! Mobile accessibility - one step from the pavement, a small step into the cafe. Also a step into the bathroom.

2nd visit within a month. Nice and clean cafe set up. Staff service is very friendly and full of smiles. Food selection is good and taste nice. Molten cake dessert is very well done we love it very much. Fries are crispy and beef bowl full of taste. One improvement that can be made probably having one side of the window covered with noise absorbents to reduce the noise during crowded period. Could not hear the other party chat during busy period. Overall a cafe to visit if you have not done so.

Dropped by on a Friday afternoon and the place was decently filled. The interior of the cafe is pretty minimalistic, but comfortable and tables are nicely spaced out. Small details like the font of the cafe logo makes it enticing to pay them a visit. I only had their coffee and was able to spend some time to work for the rest of the day productively. Coffee art was decent and most importantly tasted great.

Was in the Jalan Besar vicinity & saw this nicely renovated cafe. Coffee was ok but slightly sour. The place was really loud as there are no soft furnishings to absorb the noise. You can hear noises from every table. The food was good & value for money except for the eggs Benedict avocado on toast. Was really small portion for $18. The pastry, cakes & breads on display looks delicious & will come back to try them.

Finally came by to check out Habitat after they moved from Thomson. Located in Lavender area & u Dee a HDB block. There are ample parking around the area. The deco & surrounding is Zen like, simple & nice. My young daughter miss having her baby cino and was slightly disappointed that they don’t serve it with marshmallow now. Truffle fries cheer her up thou. Yummy as usual & I enjoyed my long black.

Very good coffee. Great food (tastes much better than it looks) & very nice service staff. Only complaint is the Cajun fries were not great - they seemed re-fried and lacked seasoning. There was a line after we were seated but tables turned quite quickly. Overall one of the better cafes in Singapore… Will definitely be back!

Kinda disappointed tat they have changed their menu . No longer have salmon Egg Scrambled Set . The current truffle salmon , salmon is very little and the herb spiced potatoes really horrible . I have finished everythings on the plate and only left those potatoes . Please change back to the old smoked salmon . It is so much better . Their truffles fries still SO GOOD and Cameral Latte too ! Keep up on tat !

Terrible service. The worst i have experienced in Singapore. I ordered an ice chocolate drink and it took over 25 minutes to arrive... The place wasnt even busy. I asked 2 waitresses were my drink was and they kept saying its coming. Will definitely not visit this place again One Man Coffee which is only 2 mins walk away from this place provides excellent service. I think I will stick to them from now on.

Never ever coming back to this place. When we ordered the staff told me only my food would take 30 minutes (didn’t mention anything about our other orders) to come and since it was peak hour it was acceptable but 30 minutes later nothing came yet (I don’t believe it takes that Long to cook truffle fries...) and it took almost an hour for my food to come. When I tried to enquire about when it was coming, the 3 staff there just pretended they didn’t see me and continued using their phones. After I approached them and asked, they didn’t even look apologetic. Judging from the rest of the reviews here this seems to be a perpetual problem and no one seems to be doing anything about it. Definitely not worth the price nor my time. So rare to encounter such TERRIBLE service here in Singapore. Fuck this place

If you like a good meal, you have to go here. A little bit out of the way, but absolutely worth it! I am a big eater, but I could not finish everything our gracious host put on our table. And I really wanted to, because it was delicious. Everything home made! I loved it. I asked for the recipe but it was a secret, so I have to return to eat it again! Hopefully soon!

Cosy atomsphere, attentive staff and yummy food. Food ordered came in 10-15 mins, and love the spicy chipotle wings! Great place to just chill after a long hard day...

Highly recommend everyone to try their Churros, Truffle Fries and Chilli Crab Linguine. One of the best few cafes I've been to! Awesome services and they serve the food promptly! (Within 10-15mins of waiting time) Definitely worth coming back for more

The muddy buddy was good. So are the Belgium waffle with rocher ice cream, brownies with vanilla bean ice cream and bailey's black velvet. The service was in stark contrast to their food. It really discouraged another visit.

Serves the most amazing truffle scrambled eggs with salmon... Beautiful place for breakfast. But get there early!

Coffee, eggs Benedict and truffle fries were great. However, pasta dishes left us disappointed. The pasta with teriyaki sauce did not go well together . The extremely creamy sauce of the Matcha pesto pasta dish clashed with the sharp saltiness of the smoked salmon that comes with it. Overall taste of the dish was confusing. Mussels in Ocean linguine were dry.

Of all brunch places we have been in Singapore, this has to be the worst experience we have had by a mile. We ordered our food at 10.54am, coffee took 20min (thats fine) and food took 50min to be served (thats not fine). Heres the kicker, there was a strand of hair baked in our Egg Relish Tomato dish - not the kind of National Day gift I was looking for. Maybe we have been pampered by other brunch places and come to expect food to be served promptly and without issues. Couldn't you just give that to us for National Day?

The food and drinks were great. However, my friend and I had to go online to check out the pictures of the dishes and try to match them with the description on the menu before we placed our orders. Perhaps there could be more visuals on the menu?

Totally love the coffee! And food! Surely going for another visit possibly trying out desserts. Food serving was fast. Recommended to make reservation. Me and my friends was more than satisfied. I love the pulled pork Benedict.

Habitat is a quaint cafe, with some scrumptious breakfast! Big fan of the "Big Ben" breakfast. You may have to wait a while to get a table, but definitely worth the wait. I make sure I always visit when I come down to Singapore. The staff is attentive and friendly and serve your food with a smile

My gfs and I just visited this cafe for the first time and will probably be our last as well. Food was so so and service was really bad! We feedback to that the tomato in our pasta was spoiled but he did not come back with a closure. We were honestly not expecting any monetary compensation or anything. When I asked for an update, he simply said that the kitchen staff said that the tomato is fine and what did we want from the cafe. The whole time, he was giving an impatient face! We are not expecting any Queen treatment but he was really rude!
