Well lit and spacious seating area. Banana Caramel croissant tasted great, with the banana complimenting the croissant and caramel well. Butter croissant was light and airy rather than buttery. Kouign Amman lacked a good balance between the flaky texture and caramelized outer layer and felt mushy together.

There's been a lot of talk about this place, but I was honestly pretty disappointed. The apple bread didn't have much flavor, the cheese in the ham and cheese donut tasted artificial, and the red bean bun was very plain and boring (in other words, I've had much better elsewhere).

Love the ambiance and the Japanese interior design of Asanoya, although I have never been to the one in Japan before. The bread is definitely not cheap but it’s worth the price. Wish I can go to their shop in Karuizawa.

The service and food quality here has definitely dropped. Tables are not cleaned. Ordered croque madame, the side of the toast were hard and tomato soup tasted like canned tomato soup. Never coming back.

Elegant, quaint and quintessentially Japanese, Asanoya’s bakes are definitely classic. Their animal shaped buns are so cute and my kid loves them, whereas adults are fans of classics like their earl grey tea loaf, karuizawa bread and curry donuts.

Nice place a coffee or tea and open at 9am.
They do a variety of bread but limited toast or big branch set

Nice environment to enjoy your coffee and bread in the afternoon. Otherwise, bread and coffee were just alright.

Enjoyable food and ambience! Security guard have to tap you in and out of the place so it’s a highly secure place ;)

i didnt like staff that serve us. They are not friendly, attitude not willing to serve and talking among themselves. I must called out to them to serve me. i visited asanoya branch at paragon around 4:30pm.

Experienced terrible service at Asanoya, by both the service staff and manager. They reversed on their upgrade of drinks terms in a matter of days. Anyway, I don’t know why I bother since their coffee is bad anyway.

Poor service by Lawrence at cashier counter. Can nvr be front line staff...

Bikit timah branch _ Sep 2017
Bad service... if they keep to provide this quality, I don't recommend to come to this branch to my friend seriously.
- They heated up my breads after payment, however, all of them is still cold..unbelievable..
- They provide a hot coffee but the cup had got sticky because of milk..... very sad.

Asanoya Queen St sits amidst the district of arts buildings and provides the relaxed atmosphere different from shopping malls. Service is good and café is spacious. Great place to enjoy breakfast and start the day happy.

Nice place to chill and the bread is good... drinks are pricy but nearby can get cheap one

Conducive space to get some work done. Good Japanese bakes and well-made drinks.

Bought some bread from here last night and had it this morning. Nothing spectacular but decided to drop by for tea since the place looked nice and cosy.
Ordered tomato chicken, cheese stick, two different soups of the day, spinach quiche and a cafe latte.
Soup was too salty and the bread that came with it felt like day old, cold and hard bread. Same goes for the cheese stick. Quiche was bland and cold as well. Chicken had a strong frozen chicken taste. Basically, everything was lacking taste, hard and cold.
If Boulangerie Asanoya wants to survive beyond the hype, this place should look into the quality of their food.

conducive environment, greeted and served by friend staff and the pastries are delicious.

Went to the one in Tampines Mall Isetan. Ordered their rolls and 2 Americano, i can say the rolls tasted good, cream is fresh. Preferbly sitting arrangement could be better. Overall good

Not bad. I like the place, but didn't feel Japanese enough. Reasonable price and good service.

Today i went down to your outlet at Queen Street to enjoy the JCB 1 for 1 promotion. After selecting quite a few breads (i picked 2 of the same kind for the 1 for 1) the bill seemed off to me and the cashier curtly told me that the promotion was for buying a higher price bread and getting the 2nd of a lower value free. The manager was polite and tried to said that that was the bank's policy but not the bakery's.
While i love your breads kindly clarify this, end of the day i bought a little lesser then what i intended but felt slightly cheated. Do clarify this as I have also checked with JCB and their reply is shown below:

Went there for Sunday tea at 3 pm plus ... was surprised with the staff as Asanoya used to have experience staff running the show .
We ordered tea and it took 30min to arrive after 2 reminder ... was at counter waiting for someone to attend , no one clear our empty plates throughout .... food still good as usual but service need to be improved...
Is there a changed in management ?
