Review Tatsu Sushi / Tatsu Teppanyaki - Singapore

Food really yummy. Very funny chef. Celebrating birthday and chef performed a 'fire performance' for beef tenderloin and 'beating heart' fried rice. Really entertaining. Service staff a little intimidating with repeated up-selling. Cosy place. Limited seating. Overall still a very wonderful experience.

My first time eating at an upscale teppanyaki restaurant. The chef was very entertaining, warm and friendly. Food was alright, fresh and portions were reasonable, sitting was well spaced but the place felt a little too warm. The cod fish mixed with their fusion sauce was awesome. Overall the experience was great with the chef’s skills and hospitality.

Food and service are fantastic! Staff very friendly and helpful in assisting food ordering and introducing the dishes when served. Great dining experience for teppanyaki.

Came on a thursday night to celebrate and the restaurant was packed. We ordered a salmon aburi maki, tempura maki and wagyu dinner course for sharing. They also had a lobster promotion going where half the lobster was prepared into miso soup and the other half was grilled. I really enjoyed the wagyu which was cooked at medium doneness as the flavour and texture really stood out. The salmon aburi maki was really good too as the cream cheese complemented the entire maki really well. Another thing we loved was the lobster miso soup as we would really taste the freshness of the lobster. All in all, everything was good and we were really full at the end although I felt that the grilled lobster was a little overcooked. In addition, I’d like to commend the staff for their excellent service. They allowed us to bring our own cake for a birthday celebration and even sang a birthday song. They were attentive throughout the dinner as well. Will definitely be back again next time! Do remember to book in advance as they are quite popular with limited seats in their restaurant.

Tatsu serves very nice Japanese Food in Chijmes! It's usually very crowded during lunch office hours. They have various type of set meals that looks very delicious. I ordered the sushi set which comes with charamushi, very juicy and tender fish, miso soup, mango pudding. Their beef set comes with very delicious garlic rice, pickles and bean sprouts. We sat at the high tables and watch the chefs prepare the sushi professionally in front of us. Staff are very friendly and attentive to refill my hot tea. I had a very fulfilling meal at Tatsu. #ILoveTatsu

We took the teppanyaki counter seats but you can order both sushi and teppanyaki from their menu. We had 1 Tatsu teppanyaki course (king prawn, salmon and beef or chicken), 1 seafood dinner course (cod fish, squid and lobster). These come with salad, fried rice, mixed veg and dessert). We also had one plate of Aburi sushi and some tamago and ikura sushi. These fed 4 of us, 3 adults and 1 child. The seafood items were great and tasty. Beef is not flavorful unfortunately, maybe chicken (for the Tatsu teppenayaki course) will be a better choice. :p

Went to this shop for a teppanyaki dinner course with my boyfriend and it was the best decision ever! We were attended immediately over the front desk, brought to our seat and was constantly checked on by their attendant &chef throughout dinner. Ingredients used are fresh! Texture of the salmon was awesome, melts in your mouth. Beef was tender & juicy, just perfect. Everything was just perfect. Will definitely come back again for the seafood course!

A Japanese restaurant serves traditional sushi, sashimi, teppanyaki and other Japanese appetisers. The restaurant is divided into two areas for sushi and teppanyaki. It only has counter seats for both sushi and teppanyaki sides. We ordered wagyu beef course which came with salad, lobster, wagyu, mushroom, seafood fried rice, clam miso soup and Japanese mochi. The fried rice was really good. Overall it’s a decent meal with Chef’s fancy teppanyaki cooking techniques. The chefs and serving staff were very friendly and efficient. The wagyu course cost $128 per course. The restaurant also offers decent amount of varieties of sake, wine, beer and soft drinks. It’s a quite popular restaurant. Do make a booking before you go.

I thought I would brave the negative reviews , and give Tatsu a try. The food is not bad the entire experience is a disappointment considering we spent $600 for four of us. I felt I was eating in food court teppanyaki. The chefs didn't engage the guests. I didn't even know he was cooking our food. And never had I eaten teppanyaki where the fried rice was served so early in the meal, and every course served successively without waiting for the earlier one to be eaten. Service was not rude but just so coarse.

Outlet at Asia Square - Food was excellent, portions were very decent and service was extremely attentive and friendly. Chef was lovely and highly accommodating. It was a birthday celebration and the restaurant threw in some lovely surprises. Puzzled by the adverse ratings by other diners but my family of 5 had a wonderful dinner. The bill came to about $550 which was well worth it.

Food was cooked too fast that we had a overload on our plates. Chef was not a single bit entertaining. The food they served is only slightly better than a food court. Not worth the money at all.

Great service from the service crew and awesome teppanyaki served in decent portion.

Service was quite good and the service staff were quite friendly. Even arranged plates and seats for us when we had to adjourn from the counter seats to cut the birthday cake. Food was quite good, overall experience was good.
