There are only 3 locations, so the rest that have branches are over are not related and you can even see some of them selling rice or other different food. You will know the difference when you try from any of these 3 places to know the real deal

Tried the laksa (small portion $4). Taste was not too bad., although not as rich as the other versions I've tried before. No cockles but the ingredients were ample, prawns were relatively fresh. I like it that the utensils were individually packed.

Though restrictions for dining-in at the food centre were recently lifted, the crowd has not returned in full force. Being a first-timer, I tried the crowd favourites rendang chicken, as well as the chicken curry with rice and paid $11 in total. The quality of food was excellent and way exceeded my expectations. Would definitely be back to support this stall. Must add that the stallkeeper was very friendly too, and this wholesome dining experience uplifted my entire day! :)

Very nice and fragrant laksa! The laksa gravy has a good consistency and not too thick or bland. They sell other dishes like rendang chicken and curry chicken with noodles, bread or rice too. Worth trying if you're in Maxwell!

This is definitely one of two best hawker centres to taste local Singapore food. It is a must to go a little earlier to avoid peak periods during lunch and dinner. For lunch, go around 11:30 am, secure a table, and note down the table number. Next step is to order the food. Still not sure what to eat? No worries! The ubiquitous queues are a testimony to the popular dishes at this food centre and many more fantastic dishes that are waiting to be discovered. My favourite dishes have to be the spring rolls, rojak (fresh fruit/vegetable-salad in a unique prawn-based sauce), fish sliced soup in a delicious milky stock, and the famous chicken rice. Just give it a try for the taste, your value for money and rubbing shoulders with the locals. 😉
