Review Rasapura Masters - Singapore

Xin Hao
One of the best places around the Marina area to have your cravings for Singapore local delights satisfied. You can find almost all the famous Singaporean dishes here at the basement of The Shoppes - Chicken Rice, Chendol, Hokkien Mee/Carrot Cake/Char Kuay Teow, Nasi Briyani, BBQ Satay and Chicken Wings, Wanton/Fishball Noodles and many more. Definitely catered for the multi-cultural demographics and varying taste buds. This area is almost always fully packed, even during non-peak hours although the seating capacity is considered large so finding a table to dine-in might be challenging. Well, if you have a room at MBS, takeaway option ain't too bad. Or you can enjoy the scenery while munching on a bench along the MBS Boardwalk. Prices are definitely on the higher side. No surprises. On average, a meal will cost up to $8-9. Chicken Rice is about $8.90 a set for context. But still the cheaper (if not cheapest) option within the entire mall. Would highly recommend the Chicken Rice, Satay/BBQ Wings, Ice Kachang, Hokkien Mee, and Bak Kut Teh within this establishment. If you are up for other local delights in Singapore, Newton Food Centre, Chomp Chomp, Maxwell Food Centre, Jumbo Seafood, Chinatown Market are probably the other amazing options.

Good foods surrounding Rasapura that deserve a higher price point. Went there before 12pm, the tables are all full, manage to secure one table for 4 near the corner looking directly at Digital Light Curtain at magnificent view. As we are ordering, the crowd gradually increased. Typical waiting time is between 8mins to 15mins, don't go there empty stomach. The premium coffee certainly worth a try as well as the R&B bubble tea, yummy. Caught up with friends with carrot cakes, fried vege, BBQ wings, Satay and roasted 3 combo, a good place and ambient with good food. Surprising it wasn't that noisy as I reckon.

The food is quite nice here, and reasonable price in this area. A lot of choices. But a bit too crowded, sometimes hard to find a seat. I like this chicken rendang. Taste nice, big portion and not too spicy, Cost around SGD10.80.

To all, This Shop is not honest. My niece and I order meals just now. However, when we enjoy the food and we found the meal ingredients are not with the same size and amount what we order significantly. We don't mind you have a premium charge but we care you are not honest. I hope the relevant department investigates about it. Regards, Eng Tian Cheng

The World's Softest Hainan Chicken Rice?? Super delicious, Fragrant rice. Next time I come to Singapore, the first thing I will do is get off the plane and enjoy my Original Chicken Rice!!! thank you!!!

Finally, I had to eat here after many many previous half-hearted attempts over the years. Of course I've read all those brickbats on the food, prices and service. But no one said anything about the difficulty in getting a seat. Yes, previous visits with family (3 of us) always ended up walking out in exasperation. This time I was alone and early (11.30am). So I can really check out the stalls and the food on the tables of patrons. Ended up the safest bet in Singapore. Chicken rice. Paid S$9.10 for passable version - about double of the noisy, smelly and humid coffee shops. But hey, I said "passable" okay. To be fair, the stall operators are probably business people and we should moderate our expectations. Want the real McCoy's go the real local places. The last time we were here (two weeks ago) we ended up paying $130 at TWG and had to queue for 35 minutes. So, think about it. Update 25 June 2022: with Covid-19 measures mostly lifted, it was once again free-for-all tables "choping" (reserving a table by placing anything from tissue papers to water bottles before venturing to order food). Hmmmph. Navigating the chope-queue-order-wait-eat routine was the easy part, finishing your meal with exasperated chopers standing behind you was, well, infuriating. The $7.50 plate of char kway teow (Singapore's version of yellow noodles fried in sweet black sauce and cockles) was comparable to the $$3.50 version elsewhere, the experience was spoilt by impatient table chopers hailing from a North Asian country.

Tried the new Haoju Pao Fan stall’s Laksa Pao Fan with fried fish and added a side of chicken chop for $1. Big portion with la la and loads of tao pok. Quite shiok. The normal Pao Fan was so-so. I prefer their Laksa version. The carrot cake was so-so. White ok. Black not so ok. The Nonya Kitchen is consistent though. Decent rendang chicken with blue pea nasi lemak, otak and pretty good sambal to go with. The Thai Cuisine stall makes very good authentic Tom Yum Fried Bee Hoon. Shiok.

Good variety of food and efficient service. Perhaps to improve the quality of food if possible 🙏. Usually crowded even during weekday outside of meal time too.

Want to find snacks at Marina Bay. Finally, I was very interested to trying dimsum at Rasapura Masters. I Order some kind of the menu. Tasty, but lacking in dimsum seasoning. For the place in the food court, quite comfortable.

Chicken Biryani from the Indian Express is yummy! The chicken curry is nice too. We got one of the vegetarian dinner combos which had eggplant curry which was good too. The Chhole/Chana was so-so.

Fruit slushes

Rasapura Masters is a collection of food shops in Marina Bay. My husband loves the Malay food whereas I veer towards the Chinese/Singaporean food. I enjoyed the different kinds of cold drinks offered at the beverage section.

The Damage (no drinks): S$25-35 for two

Located in the lux MBS, this foodcourt/hawker is definitely one of the more expensive of its types. Theres an assortment of food choices with some iconic stalls as well. We liked the Bakuteh and Indian stall

~~TRY😍:
// Guan Chee ~ Roast Pork
// Ng Ah Sio ~ Combo Bakuteh
// Thye Hong ~ Fried Prawn Noodle

~~OKAY🙂:
// Guan Chee ~ Char Siew
// Indian Express ~ Butter Chicken

Follow us at IG: eatsmorefun

Well well wanted to try something different and here it is. This place offers variety of outlet from thai to chinese to indian. I wanted to try something else so ordered rice and veggies along with grilled chicken. My dish was still better as compared to my brother who ordered noodles with chicken which he left as it doesnt taste so well poor chap.

A must for family who wants to taste the local delights, stay in MBS and lazy to travel far. The food court has lotsa of delights from Chicken Rice, Pork rib Soup, Minced pork noodle, Laksa, Ice kachang and many more. The prices are double compared to other food centers but the "brands" of those hawker food are of good recommendations, however don't blame me if their usual chefs are not around, as most of the people there are not great chefs but great duplicators who can mass-produce at a faster rate, Asian style McDonald. I have no complaints cause I would have to pay 3 times for a decent meal for my family if we want a meal in the hotel's restaurants.

I should say the visit I had to Rasapura was kind of a busy one. Supposed to grab some snacks and sit but due to inavailability of seats, had to buy an on the go coffee and lemonade instead. A bit pricey but yummy though. Well, it's inside Marina Bay Sand shopping center. 😄

A ‘high end’ food court that is located at marina bay sands/casino offers 24 hrs dining for shoppers gamblers sightseers alike. Prices easily double those of hawkers located in the suburbs but you get to dine in comfort. There are enough choices here for the most fussy picker, from deli style food, burgs to all kinds of local food such as hainan chicken rice, bbq meats, yong tau foo etc etc.

The few times we were here, we tried the unusual mee kia w abalone 3.25/5, made extra spicy, fish balls soup, ngo hiang 3/5 and chicken rice 3.25/5. The hainanese chicken thigh was super tender n smooth. Portions are on the small side.

I like seafood and I got what my palate desired. We headed to MBS for lunch after our business meeting at Ubi industrial area. Spicy seafood, food that I always look forward to whenever I travel back to the Lion City. It's also my first time to try the humongous river prawns. Crab is a constant favorite even back at my home country. This time, I tried the black pepper crab though I like the chili crab better. The dining hall was full packed and noisy but who cares, my tummy was very satisfied.

This is an amazing food court with a wide variety of cuisines to choose from, both local and regional. This place is absolutely busy during lunch hours and especially on weekends, you stand no chance securing a table despite the large number of tables and chairs provided. There is just enormous crowd. After few rounds and not finding any seat, we come back at about 330pm, and could find some place to sit.

When I'm in Singapore, roasted duck rice is must so I settled for the roasted duck rice lunch set meal from Yu Kee Duck Rice. When I picked up my food, I felt so crestfallen to see the portion of roasted duck for the 9 dollars I had paid. Portion of rice was appreciable but the duck had been sliced super thin I wondered how many servings they provide with a single roasted duck. No wonder they have so many outlets in Singapore. They are absolutely stingy with their duck meat. You'll hardly have any duck meat left after four morsels. Not happy at all and won't buy here again.

Place is well kept and maintained. Clean and neat even with the huge crowd. I'll try something else next time.

Dinner in rasapura at the food court of marina bay sands, the place is always crowded. There is a good selection of dishes,i come with family so everyone can get what they want but for me the priority is halal food,no lard and no pork. It's a bit pricey compare outside marina bay sands, but the portion is huge, thats why i keep coming back, lol.

Hor fun Seafood SGD 8 at Singapore BBQ
Yong Tau Fu SGD 8 at Hakka Yong Tau Fu
Beef Pepper Rice SGD 8
