Review Loving Hut - Singapore

Pleasant experience! It's a simple and fuss free outlet. Service was very fast and the shop owner was helpful and eager to help us take group photos too 😄 Took a bus and alighted at Joo Chiat complex and walked halfway through the entire Joo Chiat Road! The food turned out really tasty and tasted very close to what the real thing would have tasted!

Very very very nice vegetarian food. I only tried one set meal. The flavor was awesome just like how my aunty cooks. Truly South East Asian food. Wonderful to cycle past this place and give it a try. A bit pricey but we'll worth it for their efforts in making the meals. Staff very friendly even top up my soup for me. Definitely will try again with Friends

I have only been here once but it is one of my favorite vegan restaurants. The food is very affordable and is great value for the portions you get. We got a variety of dishes and the food came out promptly. The food was delicious and we ended up getting a couple more dishes.

Been looking for a good Nasi Goreng and who knew I would find it in a vegetarian bistro. Love the spice to the rice, and the satay sauce was wonderfully done as well. The toasted peanuts added some crunch and the small bowl of soup balanced out the heat. I think Loving Hut has so much potential to look like a hip Taiwan or Bali vegan hang out. They just need to tweak their interior, menu, and plating just a little. So much potential!

Specially made a trip down to Loving Hut to try their food after seeing many good reviews on Google, but the experience was rather disappointing with both the food and service, especially when there’s a 10% service charge. For two person, we ordered the banana leaf nasi campur set, tomyam ocean hotpot set, 5 spice Teochew roll, Thai tofu and a vegan beer. Most of the food was not bad, except the Tom yam hotpot ingredient look nowhere close to what was shown in the menu, the spring roll that came with it have very little filling and the skin was thick, it was also soft and cold when served. On the service aspect, there’s totally no eye contact from the staff and cashier, when food was served, it was just placed on the side of the table (seated on a table for 4 pax) and walked off. The staff also started to clear our table including our soup when we were still eating without checking whether we still want the soup. When come to payment, the cashier just mentioned the amount for payment without getting me to check the receipt to confirm on the items ordered.

Many people raved about the CKT and I had to just try the vegetarian version though not necessarily healthy. Definitely worth the calories as it had a nice wok hey flavour. The coffee nuggets were really good too. You can be forgiven if you thought they were the actual coffee pork ribs. The nasi Goreng and satay were pretty good too.

Had the char siew not bad, too sweet to my liking. Fish is good. However the service is disappointing. Given an order we didn’t order the waitress actually come and confronted us, saying we ordered and show her displeasure and bad services. Place the food loudly on the table. We were also charged the fish we didn’t ordered and eat. Didnt even offer a refund. Disappointed. will not visit.

Ordered the black pepper brinjal set. It was extremely sweet and difficult to eat. Sauce was like ketchup consistency. Anyways giving this restaurant 1 star because they refused to make any amends for this overpriced dish, but simply said they can only feedback to management which is bad customer service in my opinion. Staff are friendly however, and the burger is good.

I found this place by chance as I was passing by. I Reccomend it!! Even if you are not vegan the place is good because of the ambience, the service and yes the food. I had a Bali salad and it was very nice and a good portion too. You can tell that they put in a lot of effort and attention to details. they even have custom made glass straws for smoothies which makes the drinking even more enjoyable.

My friend and I dined here for dinner tonight and I enjoyed my tom yum. However, I am saddened to see that you give out plastic straws with your drinks and use plastic saucer for vinegar and chilli. Straws are used only once but take hundreds of years to break down. Straws are one of the most common types of rubbish on Singapore's beaches, and they harm turtles and other sea animals. Please consider giving out straws ONLY on request by adopting Plastic-Lite Singapore's #StrawLiteCampaign ! Thank you!" In addition, I hope you will switch to using reusable saucer for condiments such as chili and vinegar.

We had dinner at loving hut last night and we love the food. Wii be back to try the new Siam or laksa. Also loving the ambient. The food is fresh though a little expensive but it's all worth it. Order was fast and food came fast. I just hope they have in Foodpanda or Deliveroo

Number 1 vegan place, where when stated gluten free I m very assured they really do their research, even the sauce is gluten free. Mr Khoo, the manager really knows their stuff. Cant say the same for other established restaurants when stated gluten free only remove the mock meat but still has wheat buns. Another dont even bother to help me check the ingredients list of the factory made sauces used in their cooking. It wasnt even an immediate request, I gave time and asked via email!!!!! Keep up the good job. See u all soon!

My experience here has been good so far. Yummy vegan food. Nice selection of eastern and western delicacies. The service staff was friendly and accommodating. Go for the avocado shake. I'll be back.

There's almost 20 of us and the food came very fast and the quality of food and service is great. Lunchtime crowd is ok not too crowded. Try the fried rice with satay.

Treated to a wonderful meal by a friend in 2014, even my non-vegan friend was totally impressed, wowed by the amazing food! I'm going back in May when I return to Singapore.

Best Vegan meal ever! Not that I’m vegan, but could be if the meals were all that good!

I order 8 courses dinner buffet for my son birthday today. The set up is so meticulously done and all prepare in good standard hygiene and staff wear glove before handle the food. They even set up a stand for the black trash bag. so far I don't see this practice by other catering company. Warm color table setting even with flowers and best of all the disposable plates and cutlery are all biodegradable by corn ware. My guests 80% non vegetarian and they are impressed with quality food and many 2nd and 3rd helping. Soba salad n mee siam had a beeline!!!!

I became a pure gluten free vegan seven months ago, which restricted me quite a bit, but they had a few options for me to choose from, all of which were quite delicious and some new tastes I'll experiment with later.

Four of us went to dinner tonight. My husband and I who live locally are not vegan (our daughter and her partner are) but everything was tasty and fresh and although we wouldn’t have normally chosen a vegan restaurant we now think we’ll go back.

Time pressure given by the staff to order the food. Doesn't feel welcome at all due to the staff service. Food wise was good. Don't come during peak season. It will be the first and last visit.
