I went there 7 years ago. I am not a pancake person so I wae super reluctant to go but when I saw the menu I was surprised. strictly pancakes, to me, is a brunch place with (yummy) pancakes on the side or every dish. So you can have your English breakfast with pancakes and maple syrup. People are nice and the place is very peaceful. Although the menu is a bit pricy I believe it's nice to have a meal every now and then at Strictly Pancakes.

Strictly pancake is really tasty and affordable. The second level is more comfortable and there's plugs around the table so you can relax and do some laptop works after eating.

Food is delicious! Tried the Garlic Butter Prawns and the Banana Scotch. Garlic Butter Prawns pancakes were really fragrant and delicious (but probably quite unhealthy with all that butter). Smells unexpectedly like garlic bread which makes it really tempting. Could probably have a more generous service of the salad though to have some freshness to juxtapose the heavy butter taste. Banana Scotch pancakes were really nice as well. Unfortunately our experience was marred by atrocious service. Or the lack of. We were seated on the second floor, and half the time there was no service staff around and we had to keep waiting for someone to appear. Even when someone appeared it was hard to get the server's attention. We were seated furthest away from the stairs and the server almost never came near our tables. Our dessert pancakes took super long to come and we had to keep checking on it. Almost thought of leaving. Our dirty plates were left on the table for the longest time, and they served the dessert pancakes without getting new cutlery. Asked them, but they forgot, and the lone server on the second floor was busy doing other stuff like tidying up menus while we watched the ice cream melt. Had to walk down to the first floor to get cutlery ourselves only to see the servers loitering there. No apology at all until I got the check and requested not to pay the service charge. Although the food is good, I wouldn't come back in the near future.

Food is ok. However they took almost 30mins to serve it and I got mine much later than my dining partner. Get the garlic and herbs butter!

Food was good and pancakes were fluffy. Staff were helpful. My issue is, a place that calls themselves strictly pancakes like American IHOP should at least provide whipped butter and not charge customers for extra butter and syrup. I mean even Mac Donald’s has those. We just got tiny cubes of almost frozen butter. Just for that I feel this place lost out.

If the place is not crowded,it is really a lovely place to chill and dine.
Food:
Pancakes are fulfilling.
We order 3 piece and it is really filling.
So for small tummy eaters.
consider getting just 2 pancakes instead.
Scramble eggs are really fluffy,
Highly recommend anyone to order as an extra side dish.
The salmon is awesome,
Looks raw on the outside.
But once u eat it.
It just makes ur day .

First floor of the dining area is cosy and vibrant.
Gives u a feel of a european feel.
2nd floor consist of tables of twos and more then four(sofa chairs)
Great for couples and bigger groups!

More For Smores is the most yummiest dish ever!! I love marshmallows �� The combination of chocolate and salted caramel is a LOVE for those sweet tooth. I'd recommend is dish for those who wants to try pancakes with marshmallows. This dish won't disappoint you :}

First time dining at strictly pancakes. Ordered a ondeh ondeh pancakes and berry merry pancakes.
Order time: 4.03pm
Order received : 5pm
Presentation : the way the food looks on the plate was disappointing. Ice cream was dripping off the plate when it was served.
Taste: burnt pancakes. The ondeh ondeh cream was too cold to enjoy. It tasted only sweet. No notes of coconut flavor. The berry merry pancakes was soaked with berry compote/syrup. Not refreshing as how it used to be. The only thing good was the vanilla bean ice cream.
Review/feedback : the whole experience was not enjoyable. After 45min of waiting, I asked the server how Long more does it take to make pancakes as the customers after us got their pancakes done within 15-20min of their presence in the cafe, the response was just ‘I’m doing yours now’. No apology was extended for the one hour wait for a not so tempting or burnt pancakes. On top of that, I received stares and unhappy faces from the servers and chef. On a weekday, non-peak hour timing.. This kind of service and attitude is unacceptable.
Did I and my gf offend you with our arrival or is it some kinda subtle racism you offer as part of your dining experience?

Twas close to 9pm on a friday when i visited and the place was quite crowded. However, the food was served fast. My friends raved about the garlic butter pancakes and i stole some from my friend. The garlic butter pancakes were awesome. This is the best garlic dish i have ever had. The sauce was creamy, buttery and extremely flavourful. Though i confess to picking away all the garlic pieces as i am garlic-phobic, the sauce was unforgettable.

I had my lunch here today as I was craving for their buttered prawns stack and I do love their smoked salmon but obviously I have to choose either one. Never failed to amaze me with the food always. The chef served me the food personally and even asked how was my pancakes. Awesome food. Awesome service. So much love for their menu. Thanks for making my day great. Keep it up. Seriously heavenly as always. This should be the place where you unwind and date yourself like I did. Pardon me, I have no idea what's with the 1 star reviews because this hidden food haven rocks.

This is one of the best hidden tresures yet! The owner Aaron has built an amzing team and brought fresh blood and flavour restoring it to its former glory. With new flavours such as salted egg pancakes with fresh prawns and a twist on the all american classic smores. Strictly Pancakes is surely a Sinful Pleasure that keeps u coming back for more!

Came back here after a few months. Liked the new layout! We had the garlic buttered prawns the druggie and more for smores. All 3 were great. But we missed 2 options on the new menu - lemon curd for the nerds and apples & cinnnamon

The pancake is soft, fluffy and not too dry. The downpart is the waiting time and so unfortunate their coffee machine breakdown during my visit and they have to run down the street to get the coffee for us. If just the food I think it's awesome

Waited very Long for the food to come, and the pancakes were not even hot. Ordered the run salmon run, was suppose to have spinach salad but served lettuce instead. Very disappointed.

Service was very slow, it took 40 mins to get our pancakes from when we ordered. The diners next to us who came before us didn’t get their pancakes at all, and left in anger.
The pancakes were dry and mediocre for the amount that they are charging. There was also some weird black stuff(dirt??) in the ice water served.
Overall, a disappointing experience as the standards have dropped drastically since we last visited 3 years ago. Not sure if it’s because they’re closing, or they’re closing because of this �

Appalled by the service at the place, we ordered our food and waited for over 45 minutes. After which, the server came and said that they made a mistake with the batter. After waiting for another 10 minutes, we just left money on the table for the things we had eaten. The server came and took the money and didn't even apologize. This is so ridiculous!!
It's fine if you make a mistake, but at least have the decency to come and tell the customers. Or at least apologize when you see them walking out. I love their food, but honestly after this experience, I don't think I'm ever going there again.

Been wanting to visit since my uni days but haven't managed to do so till now! My dad's a fan of pancakes, so how could I not bring him here right?
There are plenty of great things to mention. WONDERFUL SERVICE. Despite them being shorthanded and really swarmed with customers on a Sunday afternoon, the service staff had smiles on their faces and were very helpful. We did have to wait quite a while, and a couple of mistakes popped up our orders, BUT it's all inevitable with the crowd. What's impressive is that they went the extra mile to correct all these teeny mistakes, which made it overall a great day.
Pancakes were fluffly, yummy and we were stuffed at the end of it. Coffee was great too, quality coffee is always something to love.
I didn't give it 4-5 stars cause pricing is quite steep, with the GST and service charge included, it came up to quite a bit. The ambience was also a little run down, but it could be because it has been around for 6 years.
