I was here last weekend to catch up with some old friends. It's a pretty cool speakeasy place and the food tasted pretty great (go for the crispy noodles), the cocktails were really good as well (had the mojito and old fashioned). The only thing that ruined the experience slightly was during the bill payment, when we were overcharged by a few items (it was sorted out, but recommend to check just in case).
Came here to celebrate my wife’s birthday and managed to give her a surprise with the hidden entrance. Staff was very friendly and was very willing to work with me to provide the surprise. The ambience inside is totally different from the outside hence giving a very different feel altogether which is great.
They give fortune cookies which may give you some nice discounts. Food is nice but I won’t say amazing. The highlight that we ordered was the crocodile’s paw. Sounds exotic and looks a little intimidating but it was nice and the presentation was good. My family liked it and if we are back, we will order it again.
Overall a nice experience and I would recommend this place if you haven’t been there yet.
This speakeasy restaurant has a really cute walkway and after going through the passage, was blown away by the decor and vibe of the restaurant. Aside from the rally cool entrance, the food was delicious and perhaps somewhat reasonable. Without alcohol, our bill came to $108
Soup came in a small bowl, not that value for money. $18
Mixed vegetables quite good 5/5
Wagyu beef hor fun good 5/5
Fried chicken with dry Chili 3/5 the Mala powder just too powdery
Soup not value but was nice. Can’t remember which one
Aesthetic and music is fun! Will return to try other dishes
Unique experience… great food 👍
First time having crocodile 🐊 meat (claw). All the food we ordered was great although quite pricey.
The secret door (behind vending machine) was a unique touch!
Went here as a group of 4, and all of the food was very tasty. Firecracker chicken was by far the highlight of the meal, and I couldn't stop eating it!
I'm not the biggest fan of truffle and this was overly present in the noodles, but was still very nice. The duck was okay but had too many bones (possibly normal in SG, but in Tokyo and London where I am more familiar with ordering duck, the bones are usually removed when served like this). No pancakes either which was a shame.
Staff attitude was absoltely terrible, but if you can ignore that the food is great and I would come back!
Though this place is fairly expensive, it's honestly worth a visit even if it's just once! Went as a group of five and ordered a whole bunch of dishes and drinks, which came quite promptly~ my favorite of the night was the firecracker chicken, the wagyu beef truffle hor fun and the cheese burger rolls - which I still have fond dreams off. A great place for a celebration and good food!
Love the truffle wagyu hor fun, very memorable and addictive. Cheeseburger roll was unique and pleasant too. Irish duck was palatable. Not as speaks easy as previous location.
Last came here before covid, the inner seating area has changed, it used to offer more privacy. It is more open concept now with 6 tables, one of which is a table for 10pax. Quite rowdy & loud the day I went. Food is still good. Note to self if i come again: choose XO fried rice over yangzhou fried rice! Flaming beef on pineapple is still good. Roast Irish Duck is good too; it melts in the mouth. Staff were mostly friendly.
