Did dinner here on a whim and was pretty happy with the way it turned out. Had their oozy chicken (salted egg sauce chicken) and really liked the texture of it. The Tom Yum pasta was nicely portioned and had three halves of (small) lobsters in it. It was a bit weird eating spaghetti like soup noodles on Tom Yum soup, but it worked OK. Overall, it hit the spot but I felt that the taste could have been stronger. Staff and prices are ok. Worth a try.

Som Tam @ Orchard Central serves modern Thai Food that is tasty and delicious. East meets West through the Salmon Tom Yum Pasta, which is served spicy with Angel Hair Spaghetti. Wasn't too bad, but expected more. The Olive and Chicken Fried Rice was absolutely delicious with chicken cubes, raw onions and roasted cashew nuts. The Tom Yum Kang soup came with three small portions of cray fish. Soup appeared to be slightly milky and tasted sweeter then expected. Thought it would have been better if Tom Yum soup was clearer. The Deep Fried Tom Yum Soft Shell Crab served with spicy sweet sauce was fabulous even though we couldn't taste the Tom Yum on the crab. Must have been all the taste of the other food blended up. Staffs were friendly and efficient. Food was served pretty quick.

Was looking for some nice and cheap food and came across this little shop hidden behind all the buffets on level 8 of Orchard Central. Som Tam is a place that deals with fusion food. Total damage was about $52, but i was truly surprised at the main- carbonara lemongrass chicken. If you like your spaghetti creamy, you will love this as on top of the creaminess, it has the tinge of lemongrass yet not overpowering it unlike those you have in the western food stalls. Portions are filling for 2, but i felt the rice rolls were overcooked (fried and flakey) and the squid was overcooked too at it's ends (tentacles). There is an ongoing promotion for its pastas so do drop by if you wanna try some thai X western food.

A Hip Thai food restaurant which also offers fusion food. The atmosphere of the place is excellent. While we were rather happy with our dishes, the Tom Yum was way too spicy that it kind of numbed our tongues. Other than that, the staff was friendly, and food was served neatly and well on time. The prices are in the higher side, but you may find deals at platforms, such as chope, which allows you to have more affordably.

Very nice Thai Fusion restaurant/cafe!!! The food selection is quite a bit & the food portions Are big. Recommend to share if 2 or more pax.
Booked this place at eatigo 50% at 9pm & it’s really worth. My bf & I ate a lot , 2 mains & 1 side & 1 desserts . All taste pretty good!
Recommend to try the green curry pasta ! Super delicious . Tried the laksa noodle , feels the noodle is a little hard as it’s Thai noodle. Their Side ( salted egg chicken is REALLY AMAZING!
A MUST TRY DISH👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I will definitely go back again with such great discount! Even without discount , it’s really VALUE FOR MONEY STiLL😄

Nobody when we arrived at the restaurant during dinner time at about 7.30pm. The restaurant is hidden right behind all the Japanese buffet restaurants. Need to walk further to venture what's beyond them. Food was served fast and tasted good. Service was good too. Reasonably priced, can try....

Located in a corner of OC level 8 it's a cosy environment. Generous portions. I particularly liked the Tom yam pasta. Surprised that it had the 'wok hey' to it. Pleasant and efficient service too. Kudos.

Having a meal during Valentine’s Day and the staff was attentive enough to find us a seat even though we arrived earlier than our reservation timing
Foods were nice, reasonable price, and friendly waiters
Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience at Som Tam
