Review Eight Treasures Vegetarian - Singapore

George Henderson
The best Chinese food I've ever had, and a bonus that the whole menu is vegetarian. We ate here twice, and had a feast both times. Amazing food, great staff, good portion sizes and all at a reasonable price. Sad to be leaving Singapore because I won't get to eat here again. (There are two listings for this restaurant on Google, so I've left the same review on both).

Seems like a Cantonese style restaurant. Fits my dad’s tastebuds. Most of the dishes are tasty. I really love their Ee-fu noodles! Mum feedback their Olive Fried rice is average, couldn’t taste so much of the olive. Nicely decorated restaurant with aircon. Great for family gathering. Staff is attentive and friendly. Will definitely come back again! Will be very convenient once Maxwell MRT Station is open. FYI: Need to climb stairs

The food here is light and has a natural sweetness, allowing you to enjoy the wholesomeness of the food without heavy seasoning. Strongly recommend the brinjal! One thing to add is that it may be easy to miss the entrance to this place. Note that there's just the traditional Chinese doors leading to the staircase up to the restaurant.

Should be the top 5 Chinese vegetarian to go to in Singapore. A veteran vegetarian restaurant in Singapore. All of their dishes are good, and not to mention about their service as well. However the price is slightly at the higher side but overall it worth every penny you going to spend. Do give it a try if you happen to drop by Chinatown!

Flavour wise, the dishes were not bad. But texture wise, some dishes could be more like what the mock meat was supposed to be like. For example, the veg fish tasted more like chicken than fish.

Some hit and misses. The soup was great, tasted flavourful. Goes well with a bowl of rice. Will definitely order this soup again! The 2nd dish wasn't very good, imo the mock meat doesn't have alot of texture to it. Overall this dish was ok. I wouldnt order this again. I believe this was one of their signature dish and imo improvement could be made to better this dish. Rice was abit on the drier side? Imo I also ordered sambal sweet potato leaves. Very bland compared to the non vegetarian sweet potato leaves. I would give this a miss next time. The last pic was monkey head mushroom with cashew nuts was fantastic! This was the highlight of my meal. The fried monkey head mushroom really mimics actual meat, the gravy coated with the mushroom is savoury, and it really goes well with rice. I would still recommend eight treasures to anyone who wants to eat a hearty vegetarian meal 😄

Horrible Experience First, we have total of five people and decided to try out your food on Vesak Day, we went in the restaurant at around 3pm and I looking around for service staff to have a table. One of the staff asked how many people do we have and I replied we have total of five, and the staff point the table(that table can seat up to 8people) because there is no other smaller table for the moment. The staff pass us the menu and after while we decided to take the order, and I raised my hand to make order. The service staff saw us and asked "total how many people" and I replied again "5", then the staff told "can we move to the corner smaller table because this table have a reservation for bigger group later". At this situation, actually we don't mind to move to smaller table but the matter was the way she told us without proper manners. Another issue was the smaller table is still full of dirty plates, so we have to standing beside to wait the staff clean up the table. Why can't they just clean up the table first then only offer us to move??? <Here was Most Horrified Part> Hot tea spilled on my pant and leg. The service staff came and help us to clean up the dirty plates after we finished. When cleaning the table the staff accidentally pushed down my cup of hot tea and the hot tea spilled all over my pant and legs. The first responses from the staff was just said sorry and went to take some tissue for me, then she just left and bring the mop come back and asked me to move out the seat because she want to clean the floor. After that she just left and did nothing follow up. At this moment, I felt so embarrassed and ridiculous, why she can never ask the customer whether have any injure from hot tea and what's the solution for my soiled paint. She just left yeah just left. I felt really disappointed, and my other Friend went to counter to pay bill, and I asked the counter staff do they have hair dryer that I can dry off my soiled pants, then she flipped up her eyelids and say NO. Then we just settle the bill and left. Cant imagine sitting there was a baby or small kids, the hot tea may spill over kids face and body. They can just ignored this seriousness accident and I felt scared the way their service.

Went there tonight (my second time there) for my girlfriend's dad's birthday celebration. Fantastic service by uncle Ben and crew, AMAZING traditional chinese vegan-friendly food and lovely ambience. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone whether they're veg or not. It's just too good not to share!

Liked most dishes, only one monkeyhead mushroom dish in particular, tasted more like flour than the mushroom itself.. The Szechuan sour and spicy soup, mock sharkfin soup are Portion size depends on what portion size ( small, medium, large). Still feel like the portion is lesser than expectation.. Overall still not bad, prefer its counterpart the welldressed salad bar

This is my family's favorite vegetarian restaurant. Firstly the food is good, the staff are friendly and helpful and lastly it's convenient for my family. The serve a variety of vegetarian dishes and the taste is good. Price is reasonable for the quality that you get. If you have a party of more than 5 for dinner, I would suggest that you call to make reservation to avoid disappointment.

One of the worst service I ever encountered.. there will be no one serving you when you sit on the first floor. you have to walk up and down the stairs to the 2nd floor to get some one who will show you your attitude while you ask them down to serve you.

Service totally out. If dont intend to do the business then please say "sorry, we are closed for today" and not giving us black face when taking the order and switch off the air condition as well. If not for children, I will just go off on the spot.
