I would give them more than 10 stars if possible. Ambience, amazing. Design, wow. Food, semma semma semma! Being a regular customer there, they never fail to amuse me with their heartfelt service and (extra special care). And oh, probably the best briyani I've eaten in Singapore. No joke but the authenticity, the taste and just the smell, brings me back to tamilnadu's finest briyani. Definitely my favourite!
Had lunch at Machan’s kitchen yesterday and totally loved it! Absolutely mouth-watering meal. We had Chicken 65, Chicken Chettinadu, Madurai Mutton Curry, Prawn Masala and Karandi omelette. Every single dish was a delight. And everyone who served us was so warm and friendly! Definitely going back again!
The restaurant has a unique design that looks beautiful. The food was good. My favourite was the Nandu rasam. They also had a coconut soufflé dessert which was fantastic. I loved how their drinks were very different from all other Indian restaurants. Service was great and staff were friendly. I would recommend my friends to eat here. Overall it was a pleasant experience for me!
Like my MIL’s cooking. The best restaurant food I have ever tasted. I feel energised after this meal. Shows that they only use the best original ingredients. Thank you
The food was wonderful but the service was even better... Everything was explained to us so it was easy to choose what to eat.. Well worth a meal and we will be back
It's a very good cosy environment and the food was superb. This is one of the most delicious Indian meals we have ever eaten. The menu is extensive and varied and caters for all tastes of Indian cuisine. Do check them out with your family and friends!
I have come to Machan's Kitchen 2 days in a row which goes to show how much I love the food here. The dishes on the menu are definitely different compared to the other restaurants along the Race Course road stretch. I'd definitely recommend the Nellai Chicken, Mutton Biryani, Milagu Prawn Masala (prawns were fresh!) and Chicken Lollipops.
Rest assured, I will be coming back to try the other dishes there!
Amazing ambience and unique menu. I was in absolute awe with the decor. Two thumbs up!
Highlight was the mutton biryani..felt healthy to eat it. Light meal with soft mutton pieces. We had it with Nellai chilly chicken which was delicious..The dessert, coconut souffle, was a perfect ending note to our meal. My husband and I had a great time having our lunch here. Keep up the good job guys!
Had the best crab rasam, peppery and served piping hot.
The mutton chukka was well seasoned and absolutely delicious, not sitting in a pool of oil like how they serve it in other restaurants.
Mango bits in the mango fish curry were bursting with curry flavours.
Vendakai masala was perfectly cooked with a light crunch.
Fish cutlets were abit over fried but tasty and not soaked in oil.
Bru coffee was strong and a perfect end to a wonderful lunch.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food and left without a heavy greasy feel in our tummy at the end of it.
Will definitely be back: the food is top notch, the restaurant clean and cozy, the friendly and attentive service was much appreciated.
Very good chettinad food. A bit spicy but still good. Highly recommend the mutton soup, mutton sukha, and chicken kothu. The pistachio and mango kulfi was also good. Reasonably priced. They don't take reservations, only walk-ins
Delightful experience with very authentic South Indian tasting food. Such a refreshing expericne compared to all the other restaurants in Singapore. Service is fast, staff are friendly. However do note you will end up waiting for quite sometime to get in during lunch hours. They sincerely need to enable a dinning time limit. So many customers just sitting and having coffee while the restaurant has to turn away other guests..
Mutton was good and mutton Ribs was extra nice. Mutton curry was also nice. Chappatti was Good. Egg Masala need improvement. $$$$
Best Authentic Tamil cuisine. Foods are very tasty especially the mutton briyani. Valentine’s Day Rose with wonderful service made our day. Thanks for the wonderful service.
You can find a lot of Indian restaurants at Little India, Singapore, but this restaurant is unique. The Foods are different and unique that you can't find at other Restaurants. I had Jackfruit Briyani, and it was excellent. Not to forget Vege Kotthu Barotta(shredded flatbread), was soo good. Friendly staff. Cozy environment. A must go place.
This was absolutely stellar. Every dish we ate was unique in its flavours. Tender and cooked to perfection. I am not a fan of mutton stew but this was something else. The appams were also some of the best I've had in Singapore. We had a couple of desserts too. Both good (not pictured) and finished off with some nice filter coffee. Lovely staff and service. This is a must repeat...
Oh yeah - btw try the coconut drink!
Lovely, chilled atmosphere. Introduced by a Tamil friend whose family knows their South Indian food!! Kottu Paratha is apparently authentic and a star dish. Simple, delicious on banana leaf with a masala tea. Heavenly.
