Review Satay By The Bay - Singapore

Satay is good. I needed more dipping sauce and they were happy to oblige. Chicken satay and mutton satay. Food centre on the whole seems a bit sad with several closed stalls and few customers.

The place is a food haven for cycling enthusiasts or for those who enjoy other outdoor activities nearby. The food is good and the place is rather clean. Although “Satay” is the name of this eating place, there’s a variety of other local/Asian dishes. There’s also a stall selling pasta and beer too.

Food centre doing local fare but targeting visitors and tourists. Just like any local food centre, the place comes replete with pesky birds and irritating flies…to give it an authentic feel. Price wise, food is overpriced and shouts “tourist trap”. Place is not too comfortable especially on a hot humid afternoon.

Mixed grill of $15.90 from bar grill burger paste stall, look at the pathetic portion for chicken chop, pork chop & sausage. The grilled meat are all super burnt, mostly can taste the burnt taste instead of the meat... yuck. Rip-off and the fries are also warm and very salty. Will not be back at this place.

Nothing beats cold draft beers on a warm day, with grilled meats and satay, to be enjoyed at the gardens by the bay at sunset (which cannot be viewed from the food center). For sure there are many better (and cheaper) places out there for beer and grill, but this one is inside the park. Quite a distance from the domes however and a lot closer to Marina Barrage.

Loving this place! Cozy ambiance. The seafood stall at the front of the entrance was fantastic. 4 dishes = $52 (pineapple fried rice + stir fried vege + grilled stingray + sambal friend squid). Portions wise is truly value for money. Worth going back again 👍🏻

If you have a walk or visit at garden by the bay, you should once eating at here. Even though, there are many similar food court around Singapore, but this place you can get the view from the bay while you're eating. The food price also equals with the other places. The recommendation are satay and seafood.

Super packed, but awesome food! Be prepared to line up and wait a while for your food. Best to get everyone to split out and get food from different stalls and then find a seat as the food takes a while to be ready

Satay by the bay . This is the first time i went there ,is different from other hawker centre have Thai food , turkish food halal food like nice satay etc The price is more expensive but is worth becos is a very nice place to visit during weekend and nearby can view marina reservoir, colorful water fountain

Good to have another night food market in Singapore, this time so close to Gardens by the Bay. However, there is so much more of a selection of food than only Satay. I had 3 types of Satay but was disappointed on how little meat there was on each stick, and how tough the beef and pork were. The chicken pieces were dry. Overall, not very satisfying. Gone are the days of substantial, succulent pieces of meat on satay sticks, cooked to perfection!

Like any other hawkers, Satay by the bay offers a variety of food choices both halal and non-halal and the food is tasty and delicious. It lives up to its name as the satays are juicy, tender and delish. Location? it is in the middle of greeneries but one side is overlooking the marina reservoir, so if you get lucky, grab a seat at this spot. Food price, well it is reasonably pricey as compared to our neighborhood hawkers, but its location justified its price. Over all, just a few steps from the domes, having this food center at the gardens by the bay gives both tourists and the locals visiting and revisiting the gardens the value for their money and the experience.

Great place and food but the stal that sells beer to expensive $11 Singapore for a pint , also going there by Taxi it’s a long way walk where the Taxi rank is unless you have a Taxi app like Grab. They should have a rank there as well!

Its a little sad when the website and shop sign stated opens at 11.30am but a family of 20 of us waited for the halal seafood shop and the chef while eating says only at 1pm. You actually rejected business?

Great variety of food and drinks and fantastic atmosphere. The food is a bit more expensive than regular hawker markets, but the atmosphere and location to Gardens by the bay more than make up for the extra cost.

Awful Tasting food. Much too sweet. The service was also bad. Saw a stall selling oyster omelette reheat a plate for a new customer that had been sitting there for ages. Would never go back.

Pros: Huge varieties of food, even have Thai, Turkish, Mediterranean food. None of the stalls sell the same thing(except the satay stalls, halal vs non-halal). Satay is city satay so taste good as usual, like the pork belly satay. Cons: Exorbitant price, at least 20-25% higher than normal hawker centre. (But what can you expect with this hawker centre located in the midst of Marina Bay area). Food quality not good, esp the hot plate sotong (over cooked). Oyster omelette taste normal, nothing too fantastic (not worth the price, cost $8) Verdict: if you are tired and hungry after a day at GBTB, you can have your meals here. Dinner at MBS is just gonna burn a much bigger hole in your pocket. If not, McDonalds might be an alternative other than Satay By The Bay for you/your families.

Kalo abis cape jalan2 dari garden by the bay bisa langung cuss ke satay by the bay.. Tempatnya sih biasa aja.. model foodcourt gitu... Disini paling banyak ditawarkan menu sate dan seafood. Menurut aku sih jangan pesen menu seafood karena harganya sepertinya mahal

Great atmosphere and choice of cuisine. Highly recommend especially after a visit to the stunning Marina Bay Gardens

Lousiest satay ever tasted. Hard and sweet and sauce also not even peanutty. Meat was so hard. Not much halal variety. Ordered roti John which was obviously reheated and the bread was stale. Kebab roll lamb was so hard and tastes horrible. Ordered sambal fried rice and the rice was also cold and not spicy at all. First and last going there.

Quite a good place to have your meal and beer 🍻.

喜歡吃馬來沙爹的我 , 感覺上環境優美 , 價錢也不會比外邊的小販中心貴 , 最重要的是沙爹串羊肉肥美、醬汁豐富香味實足 , 值得ㄧ試!

Nice spot to bring visitors when they are in town, just before heading to the super tree grove for the night light show. Most local food are represented here, able to satisfy all the curiosities about our local food scene. Suggest coming in slightly earlier before the meal hours for the best experience

If I have not been to Lau Pa Sat, I could rate this as 5. Nevertheless, this is place is perfect after enjoying the Gardens by the Bay. Probably arrived here a bit early for dinner because the place is not so crowded unlike other Hawker Centers.

Its a right place to visit when u feel tired after walking in marina/gardens by the bay. You can find so many choices of food, satay, chicken rice, oyster omelette, etc. We tried the pork satay, and the chicken rice, But its quite pricey for me, since the taste isnt that good.

We ordered this S$10 satay set, which I think is a bit pricey for the amount of serving. But the food was good, the satays were tender and seasoned well.

Stop by Satay by the bay around 5pm, not all the stall are opened. We ordered satay chicken and shrimp, we also ordered chicken wings, i like the wings. And we had lemon juice its good too. Last we ordered the oysters pancake.. the pancake is good but a little stingy with the oysters.. Price is average not too cheap or too expensive. Not a convenient place.. we took grab to go there.

Surprised to see positive reviews for this place. We went there after our cab driver recommended it to us on our way to gardens by the bay. Extremely rude staff, dirty place and really poor food.

We had a chicken kebab and bread + hummus from the Turkish place and it was ok.

The egg and onion Prata was average. So dirty that he used an egg after spilling it on the counter and he did it in front of me!

The Hong Kong noodles were terrible!! We didn’t eat more than two mouthfuls. The lemon ice tea was ok.

Not worth the long walk to and from the gardens by the bay.

A really comprehensive hawker centre with stalls for everything you could imagine, from seafood to pasta.

We got one of the satay deals, with 25 chicken satay pieces for around 8 dollars. The satay was tender, crisp on the outside with the most drinkable peanut sauce on the side. The guy at the stall was really sweet and helpful.

It was my first time trying carrot cake but I am definitely converted: the cake itself is soft and melt-in-your-mouth, while the scrambled egg and black sauce add great texture and flavour.

The truffle fries from the pub were pretty average. I think they served their own ketchup, but it tasted a bit strange.

Much lighter on the pocket than we anticipated, and well-situated right in the midst of Gardens by the Bay. Definitely give this place a try!

Place - it is a street food court within the Gardens by the Bay. You can see lots of stalls/stores with different foods to offer and it's a lot cheaper than the other restaurants/cafe/food stalls in the area.

Service - it's actually self service where you order food then come back after few minutes. Although some stalls do deliver the food in your table.

Food - Tried 2 dessert stalls (afternoon snack and after dinner) and tried satay at the Kampong Satay. I like how rich foods are, satay is perfect and so is the peanut sauce w/ it. For the desserts, its good. It is mostly shaved ice or ice cream based w/ fruits. Very balanced and not too sweet.
Although some stores here are open 24 hours, the satay skewer vendors are not. As such we decided to try the prata store. We ordered the egg prata and the onion dosai. Egg prata was good, onion dosai not what we expected as we were used to the style at Malabar.

This food court is pretty much like the one at ECP. Food by the water, great seafood and desserts.

We ordered from a couple of different places, and enjoyed our dinner by the bay. You can't see the bay but the food is pretty great. Our dinner was grilled chicken satay, seafood, and Nasi Goreng kampong.

For dessert I tried a sago with mango and it was so good. Cincau is the best drink in my opinion, but there's lots of other options.

Just a big food court with plenty going on. Not as cheap as you might think once you start trying a few different dishes from different outlets. Good for dinner after visiting gardens by the bay.

If you are looking for a street food experience that is unparalleled in Singapore you will find it here at Satay by the Bay in the Gardens by the bay property. An eclectic fusion of local cuisine, Arabic cuisine, world cuisine you name it they have it.

All of this in the serene setting overlooking the marina and it could be aptly named heaven on earth. You have try the Satay here because it is unlike any other you have eaten and the most enjoyable part is that you get it in all meats which makes it all the more desirable.

Tried the pork belly as well and their own version of popcorn chicken which were just delectable. To wash this all down you have many options ranging from good old water to any drink you can name under the sun. They have it all. I chose Tiger beer and it was the perfect choice.

Awesome experience.

Cheers,

Amazingly tasty food and quite a hefty price tag for pepper crab and drinks but the experience outdoors near the beautiful gardens by the bay was worth it $81 food only. Drinks $10
