Review Anti:dote - Singapore

Went for the Hello Kitty High tea. Presentation was good but felt that there wasn't much 'hello kitty' feels. I couldn't really feel the hello kitty vibes. Food was okay, but might be lacking for the price. Preferred the savoury over the sweet department. Best part was the teas. You could tell they're really high quality. Service was good too, but a little slow. Great that you can takeaway whatever you can't finish. Might get a bit too gelat so best to be shared. 3/5 overpriced for the taste quality.

This Trolls high tea set was so pretty! Portion and varieties were good! Tea selection was great! Ambience is certainly very comfortable and luxurious I would like to give special thanks to the staff, Yuli for his warm welcome to my friends and being so professional in making our dinning in a special experience! Thank you and you guys deserve the 5-stars!

The Hello Kitty high tea set was so pretty! Being a Hello Kitty fan, I love the tiny details put into the pastries, such as the apple-shaped choux puff and Hello Kitty/Dear Daniel cocktails. Taste wise was not bad, and kudos to the staff for making the experience so pleasant for all of us, including my three year old.

Went with some friends for festive afternoon tea. Presentation was beautiful. Food was tasty but there could have been a little more savoury offerings and a little less sweet. Scones were very nice but I had to ask for extra cream. I liked that you could order two drinks from the coffee/tea menu. Service was rather slow and we had to keep calling the waiting staff over rather than them coming to check if we needed anything else. Price is quite high in comparison to other afternoon teas.

Lunch set was very worth it as I had a wagyu that was like butter, could have cut it with a spoon. Food was timed really well and staff were very attentive. The cocktails were also beautiful and delicious (try Pimm's cup no.2). To top it off, the plating was just amazing with so many beautiful and edible flowers. Tldr: Definitely Instagrammable and Yummy

Themed high tea set for 2, kinda overpriced for the quality of food. Presentable and cutesy Understaffed on that day/ morning. But when they attend to you they give their 💯 service. Hello kitty and dear Daniel Mocktails aren’t included in the set. We opted for the 2 Amuse-bouche at additional price Overall good experience since it’s a themed set and limited time only

One of the more affordable afternoon teas around. Nice ambience and we got a cozy corner to ourselves. However the food was mediocre and the sweets section leaves a lot to be desired.

Went for celebrating my friend's birthday. Made a reservation a month earlier due to high demand. But during this period they have provided a Sanrio character hello kitty version. Service was fast. The presentation is indeed a girlish vibe yet beautiful, makes you feel like a little girl again & the food is really top-notch. Not too sweet for the dessert, the sandwich category was our favourite. Worth the wait. Is around $169 for 2 pax including GST. tea catergory: Pink Flamingo tea, is personally not my favourite. Vanilla Bourbon tea is really good! But what really turns me off, is the high-tea end at 5 pm, but never give a reminder earlier ahead. We were told immediately and gave us takeaway boxes right away. But still 5 star we did enjoy our high tea!

We used the eatigo voucher for 50% off the tapas menu. Without this discount I will not consider the food quality vs the price as a match. The food portion is too small for most of the food. As what others commented as well, one of the non-local waitress not so friendly and do not smile at all, except the chinese local waitresses deliver great services. She even offered me a free dessert cake as I was celebrating birthday dine in with my family on that day. Also, this isn't a child friendly restaurant as most seats are high chairs not to mention the ambient lights were too dark until you can't see the food itself clearly. Overall it is great place for biz casual talk rather than a proper restaurant in my opinion.

On my birthday, i had a fairly disappointing high tea there. While the selection and taste of sweets and desserts ranged from competent to delicious, i cannot offer the same compliments about the scones, savory dishes and tea. The scones tasted sugary and devoid of anything unique about it. The savory dishes were uninspired and were cold to the touch. The abalone pastry failed to deliver any trace of the seafood. The tea came via a teabag in a pot and a sullen waitress rarely refilled it with hot water. Not the ideal way to spend a relaxing afternoon, let alone special events such as birthdays.

Nice & creative presentation & wide variety of pastries!!! Location is convenient. Taste is acceptable but not awesome. The lighting & seating needs improvement as the black couch does not looked liked its maintain daily. The tea set does not matched with the drawer set & the tea turned cold quite fast... maybe a tea pot mini heater is good to consider. The pastries are only sweet but does not have any flavor ... scones are good but room for improvement.

1st time experience at the anti.dote was a disappointing one. Went there to celebrate my friend’s birthday in advance. Went with an expectation of a good or "better than average" quality hi-tea set. Well, i must say it’s pretty to look at but the taste is pretty awful...the pastries, desserts are either too sweet or too salty. It’s not worth the price we are paying for, I think some cafes in sg served better quality hi-tea set. It’s such an embarrassment that the quality of the food is not up to standard especially it is meant to be a birthday treat. Another point to note, the staff there wasn’t very friendly too..it looked as if all the staff are having a bad day...”black faced”.. Is this the kind of service you’re offering to the guests? Quite surprised that a reputable hotel rendered services like this... Lastly, i hope your management will look into training your service staff and improving the quality of the food.

There are some definite highlights of our experience at Antidote however I would not return. The service was very poor and for a 3-5 pm tea, some didn't even get their tea until 4:30 and the food did not arrive until nearly 5:30. There is no refill on the savoury items so I left feeling ravenous. The vegetarian option was a bit pitiful (sweet corn or tomato in a piece of bread, egg salad and a mushroom tart). By the time we finished paying etc it was half past 6. The highlights: presentation is gorgeous and the cakes are delightful. The hotel and space is beautiful and we loved the jewelry box and lavishly decorated sweets. We had a group of 28 people celebrating a baby shower so it was a bit disappointing that service and experience we had for the amount of money paid. With so many high tea options in Singapore, i wouldn't risk coming here again or reforming it.

Bad service from one of the female staff (Crislie). We were sitted not even 3 minutes and she came to us asking for our appetiser selection which we have yet to decide. Second time she came again and asked for our appetiser selection. Before I could say anything, she said impatiently that 'it's just dim sum or egg!'. Fine! I placed order for our appetisers. She came to us shortly again and asked for our tea selection & my sisters aren't ready and told her politely that we need another moment. She walked off without saying a word and rolled eyes at us!!!!! This kind of service shouldn't come from a hotel and trust me, we would never ever step into here again! We made our feedback to a gentleman who listened to us patiently and ensured us that he will relate our feedback to her which I think she got it. Because she started her 'good fake service' around the floor thereafter. Sorry Ms C, your service doesn't come from your heart!

Second time back there for their high tea, love the food n tea but service was bad. Attitude frm staff n had to wait to be served as there was only one that was going ard. Do not wish to comment further but all I can say is the staff's attitude kinda made my experience there lousy. Would def recommend my frens there for the high tea but that is if they dun mind such service

Superb service & food! Reserved through Eatigo, but there was no discount on service standards & quality of food at all. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience & will definitely be back

Highly recomended hangouts & friendly services in A:D. Female staffs are patience even recommend the tapas on the menu: Confit Duck indeed tender in wine tarted cherry sauce & Joselito with fresh greens in side dipped sweet sour plum sauce with asian flair or olive sauce if those prefer gluten free. Whisky or mixed craft drinks by famous mixologist Tom & Edriane was buzzin'around servin'the signature craft drinks.Mostly house patrons, expats, groups of regular patrons would relax with wine & light bites or have a light chat with mixologist Tom. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Thanx to Chef Jacky, AM Krist, Crislie, Elena & Evelyn.Stay Cool & frdly services.(",)

The place has a a nice ambience and setting. Perfect for catching up but quite pricey. Great selection of tea but only a few is included in the afternoon tea package, extra charge for other fancy tea blend. Food is average. I was expecting the scones to be warm, fluffy with delicious buttery aroma when I peel them open but my expectation is a tad too high. Overall, it is not bad.

I hardly would like to post anything bad about any restaurant unless I feel that the standard is really way too below my expectations. Firstly I would like to feedback on the service. I have made a reservation for the hi tea session at 3pm. Me & my Friend reached there promptly at 3pm but we were made to wait 20mins for our table. We were offered high chairs to sit while waiting for our table to be ready. My 7-month pregnant Friend explained to the waitress why she could not sit on a high chair as she's pregnant but she gave her an impatient look & walked off. Later after we stood around for about 10mins then another waitress came & offered us more comfortable chairs to wait for our table. Next I would like to feedback about the quality of food. I think for the price that I am paying, the quality & taste of the food do not match what I am paying for. I definitely can get much better food elsewhere. We gave our feedback on the quality of the food to one of the waitresses but we could tell that she wasn't too happy about it. One thing that I am sure about is that I would never ever go back to anti:dote after such an unpleasant experience. I seriously hope that the hotel management will review the standard of this F&B outlet & make improvements to it.

Service was really bad especially from a female staff. Poor attitude. The waiting time for the food was extremely Long. Was there for high tea and we waited almost an hour for the starter to be served and what's worst, they misssd out a set and we had to wait another 30 mins for that to come along with the mains. Very bad experience. Ambience was good but the service was poor and the good wasn't really good. I won't see myself there a second time.

I have visited the Antidote several times for lunch and drinks after dinner. The lunch set menu is very well priced and delicious. The staff are always polite and courteous. It is a wonderful place for catching up over drinks after dinner. Nice ambience and quiet. Cocktails are good and the staff are able to make good recommendations.

The tea was served in a teapot, however the teapot could not keep the tea warm for long. it became cold really quickly. service still okay. Atmosphere is good, nice place for a catch up

Went there on 30/01/2017. Quality of food is good. However, service was lousy. There was a queue outside the cafe when we reached there around 3.05pm and our appointment was at 3pm. Initially, the female staff can't find my name and even asked me if I made appointment for today. Next, she brought us to our seats and told us menus would be given to us. However, we had to wait for quite sometime before signalling to this female waitress (who saw that we had no menus but made no initiative to serve us menus and even turned away when our eyes met). She could not find any menus (not sure why). She went to a table of family of 4, the Husband was a Eurasian) to ask for their orders. Then she came to pass us the menus (without apologising or explaining for the waiting time). She spoke in slang English so fast that I can't really understand and had to clarify again. Next, our choices of teas and appetisers were served not long after we placed our orders. But we had to wait for a long time for the highlights, the afternoon tea set which consists of both savoury and sweet items. After ours was served, the other table's afternoon tea set was served shortly too. Ours was a servings of 2 whole the other one was servings of 4 person.. (I wonder why we need to wait for so long. In the end, ours was served with another table's orders. The family of 4, which consists of an Eurasian also had a servings of 4, which was served before ours. Because of the long serving time, hence we only managed to finished our high tea slightly after 5pm. We headed out to pay our bills. The female staff who showed us our seats at the very beginning handled our payment. She smiled and asked us how the food was. She even apologised for the slow service. I even replied, 'It's okay, I understand as it's the Chinese New Year period.' She also made small talk and told us there is lion dance just now and if we saw the performance. I'm an easy going customer. So long as the staff apologise and explained nicely, I am okay too..

Wish i read earlier reviews before booking. Took my daughter for a treat. She didn't enjoy it. Only the scones and egg appetiser were quite good. The sandwiches were served in bread that seemed to have dried out, quiche was tasteless. Desserts too sweet and some items from child menu not served which disappointed my child so much, the staff tried to say most items in child menu same as adult menu when she served it. There were many empty tables but we just had to be placed next to a group who also had a child and the child started playing the the pebbles used to serve the appetiser(not cleared by wait staff), making quite a lot of noise thruout the whole time. This place is definitely not great for high tea. My daughter saw the flyer for the Easter promotion but i will tell her we can do better at another establishment. Quite disappointing. Did notice staff never smiled much but were courteous.

The 3-5pm staff is friendly and their service is good. Their high tea set is nice and taste good. Had an enjoyable time there with my friends. Highly recommended and will return again.
