Review Ginza Itsuki - Singapore

Came on a Sunday lunch time and the queue was super long but it was pretty worth the wait! The food was served very fast since order was taken beforehand and the rice and ingredients were extremely fresh, with the egg yolk mixed into the rice really well! The free chawanmushi was delicious as well and I really enjoyed my experience here! The only regret was not trying their spicy sauce but perhaps next time.

Delicious tendon bowl served here! Great portioning, me and partner enjoyed our dinner very much. We were super lucky that there wasn’t any queue when we came in at 6pm for dinner on a weekday. A snaky queue formed when we left. Had the opportunity to sit at the bar counter where we witnessed the chef plate up bowls with his bare hands with the tempuras just came out from the fryer - just like how a chef would would do it in Japan.

There is nothing to fault about this restaurant. It serves one of the best tendon in Singapore and the price of the tendons have been kept very reasonable for very long. I haven't been here for quite a while and it used to be the days there was only 2 items on the menu but good to see there has been an increase in variety. Every order is made to order and the items are only fried upon order so expect a hot piping bowl of tendon when served. I just loved it when everything is so hot and the seafood is so fresh. It's really not easy to find a good tendon cheaper than 20 dollars nowadays served with such quality. Oh queue can be crazy at meal times, do expect quite a long waiting time. Highly recommended.

From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I felt the Japanese hospitality that is much recognised in any eateries in Japan. The menu was simple and uncomplicated but it doesn’t mean that it wasn’t good. Pretty much explains the snaking queue that forms every night. The server patiently explained to me the menu and there was no “ hard selling” on trying to get me to choose for the most expensive set. My meal came piping hot and it was crispy. It was worth every dollar :)

Went there a few times now. Quality is consistent. Ordered seafood, mixed and chicken mushroom. Seafood is all time fav! Place can’t sit many due to social distancing, better to be there before meal time to avoid queues.

Been coming for years now and if anything this place has been getting better with each visit! I usually order the special tendon but decided to try out the seafood version this time around. Although it was amazing, I stick to my favourite special tendon😋 Would advise fellow patrons to come during non peak hours to avoid the queue. But be warned the food here is seriously addictive!!

Seafood tendon ($17.90) - Large prawns, scallop, salmon, squid, white fish, vegetable, and half boiled egg. Good quality and portion for the price. Came with chawanmushi, miso soup, and pickles, which were good too. Green tea (refillable) ($3.80) - More concentrated than typical. Good service.

They have one of the best tendon in Singapore, they are perfectly-airy, crispy, and non-greasy. The prawn and white fish are very fresh. However, I find it weird that the tendon comes with a fried egg. I personally doesn’t like it. The chawanmushi has a very unique taste, it’s smooth and silky. Skip the Sakura cola, it tastes aweful. By the way, there’s only one counter staff in the restaurant, he take cares of the queue, serving and cleaning up the tables. He is super busy and yet able to manage everything just all by himself. Thumb up for his super efficient service.
