A close friend introduced me to this place for dinner. I didn’t expect much as I haven’t heard of it before. The place is cozy and the restaurant staff are nice. I met Chef Gary in person and he is friendly and accomodating. I tried a lot of the menu including Angel Hair Truffle Pasta, Nanohana, Shirako, Ankimo, Ice Plant but among them, the must-try is Sushi, Sukiyaki, and Truffle pasta. I am new to all the dishes but I enjoyed them very much. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely invite my friends here again.
The only Japanese restaurant I would go to in Singapore for quality Japanese cuisine at reasonable price! Great food, great service, great ambience! Will definitely recommend to any Jap food lover :)
Dining at Hakumai always means a wonderful time with friends and quality food! Picking only one mains from the menu is a real struggle (how to forgo anything?). Would personally recommend the sashimi items, truffle angel hair pasta and lobster & wasabi salad!
Definitely a 5 ����� star place to enjoy jap food. Excellent food all the time with Fresh seafood. Warm service from staff to Chef. My friends and I love it here. An overseas Friend said one of his best jap meals in a Long time. Will definitely be back for more foodie awesomeness by Chef Gary. ��

My favorite Japanese restaurant!
The food here is fresh, delicious, affordable and worth every penny you pay. Recommended to those looking for good quality Japanese food without burning holes in their pockets!
Absolutely amazing place - absolutely loved the service and the food! Try to sit at the sushi bar if possible! Couldn't have been any better! The chef is incredibly knowledgable and was beyond amazing - showed us how to properly eat sushi, told us about the fish and were it was sourced from, adjusted the amount to of food for us individually, etc etc. Excellent!!
Best Omakase I’ve ever ate! The ingredients are very fresh and well worth it’s value! And Chef Gary well... is just a joy to be with HAHAHA. Overall, really enjoyed my dining experience and would definitely come again! Highly recommended! :)

Just had my birthday celebration at the counter with my wife. Japanese food planned and prepared by Chef Gary who chatted and joked with us throughout the dinner. The experience was magical. Food (as always) is superb here!
Went with hubby and baby Son,Chef Gary was v friendly but most important the food was very good. Great food great service too!
