Review Bedrock Bar And Grill - Singapore

The Canadian oysters were fresh and succulent. Paired well with their champagne. The sides aren't anything to shout for but the one that stood out was the corn. The tomahawk steak we ordered to share amongst 4 men were just nice although I still prefer an individual steak. Seasonings on the tomahawk was minimal. The camembert cheese was a delight as a starter.

Came here during lunch hours and was allowed to stay after the end of lunch service. The service here is good. The steak was under seasoned but cooked perfectly, the sauces were normal, Mac & cheese was good but really small portion, creamed spinach was normal. Best thing was the thick cut bacon which had a really smoky flavour and a wonderful bite to it.

Nice steaks with a burnt finish. Really liked the Japanese wagyu steak...melt in your mouth tender. Mac and cheese, and creamed spinach is also nice. Good wine selection. Wait staff is helpful. Desserts aren't that great though. Great for meat 🍖

Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday. Loved the service, ambience and food! Steak was well seasoned and I preferred to eat it by itself as i really liked the charred flavour. Thank you for the complementary dessert as well!❤️

The moment when my girlfriend and I stepped into the restaurant, we were treated respectfully well. There was no delay, we were brought to our table swiftly. The waiter & waitress gave us their 100% attention. My ice in the water has never touched the bottom of the cup, it always filled up. The waiter will check with you if you enjoyed the food. I love the service there. Food was fantastic, the steak gave me the best impression. I love my steak rare and Bedrock Bar & Grill really delivers that rareness I’m looking for. Would really recommend those steak-lovers to come here. We ordered a Crème Brulee for desert and the restaurant gave it to us complimentary. As I was celebrating my birthday there. I’ll return to Bedrock Bar & Grill, hungry for more.

Came here to celebrate my belated birthday with my gals. Had a great time today with food and good service here. Warm greetings from Imee, Maria and Anne. All my girlfriends were impressed and happy with the quality of food and attentive service. One of a good tenderloin I had in a long time. Thank you Bedrock team for this wonderful belated celebration!

Incredible dining experience! The food is great and the service is excellent! The spicy lobster linguine was too spicy for my taste and the restaurant offered to make a change. I did not take up the kind offer as I was already quite full eating the other delicious dishes. The ribeye caps were nice and tender and grilled to perfection. The crab cakes are excellent with a refreshing tinge of lemon and herbs. The onion soup is full of flavour with chunky pieces of bacon. Will definitely come back again.

Celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary at Bedrock. While asking for recommendations, the hubs mentioned that I am gluten intolerant. The staff promptly removed the serving plate so that I was not served the flat bread. Food was delicious, esp the ribeye steak and sweet potatoes. Was asking for the menu so that we can get desert. Staff came with a complimentary piece of flourless choc cake instead. After confirming that it was gluten free, she walked back again to make sure I dun eat the biscuit crumbs scattered in the white choc cream. Excellent and attentive staff. Thanks for the great dining experience!

Didn't make any reservations coz it's a Tuesday, end up seating outside. For a price you're paying the Service was really terrible. Once the server pass you the menu they'll right away leave you, never introduce what's on the menu or what are they're best seller or ask whether want to order drinks first while checking the food menu. Lucky we got entertainer app (1for1) Tenderloin & striploin was okay not the best, Truffle fries are good. Maybe will be back to try the burger .

We were really excited about this one. We were fine paying the extra $20++ that came with the meal for the Singapore Restaurant Week dinner ($58++ total) as we had heard good things about Bedrock. Unfortunately, none of those expectations came to fruition. To start things off, it was rainy outside and we were told we had to seat outside as there were other reservations that had come up which apparently took priority over ours. We were 2 people and looking into the front of the restaurant on a rainy Monday 8:30pm evening I saw plenty of open seats, which was a bit disappointing especially since we had a reservation ourselves! Be that as it may, we were seated promptly and our orders taken immediately since restaurant week at Bedrock only had a few choices. The wines came quickly and were fine. I had a White from Australia which was okay and my girlfriend had a red from Chile which was okay as well. No qualms so far with the food. I ended up ordering the Caesar Salad. No major issues there, but nor did it seem out of the ordinary in a delightful way. Really, it's hard to screw up a Caesar Salad... She ordered the Lobster Bisque. To be honest, it tasted like eating a very 'veiny' prawn or an oyster with a lot of 'gunk' in it. You know what I mean. It had a very shitty seafood taste, literally. There were probably about 4 tablespoons of soup and we left about 3 and a half tablespoons for the server to pick up. The bread was good though! Was a fresh naan type bread with salted butter and roasted garlic. We both ordered the NY Woodfire steak and were expecting the reputation of the Bedrock 'steakhouse' to shine through here. To my knowledge the purpose of the restaurant week for the vendors is to allow people who wouldn't ordinarily try their cuisine to do so in an attempt to potentially gain more customers or at least get a positive word out on the street about the food. Unfortunately, Bedrock's stance on restaurant week seemed to be 'give away the worst cuts we have' and 'let's ignore such customers'. At least, that's exactly how it seemed to us. The steak had no juice to it at all as if it had been frozen, thawed, and refrozen several times over. I ordered Medium Rare (even though it came out Medium) and she ordered Medium (which seemed about right). While I did see grill marks I saw no signs of the 'wood fire' they dubbed their steak to be. It was poorly seasoned (as in it had no seasoning - salt nor pepper) though it did have some herb/garlic butter on top which made the steak at least not bland but did nothing to truly enhance the flavor of the meat. Besides the juiciness or flavor of the meat, the tenderness was also lacking. As said, it seemed to be a leftover cut that was served to both of us, as it was chewy, full of tendons and lacking any kind of interlacing fat to provide flavor. Along with the steak they served 2 onion rings each. The breading was a bit oily, though nothing terrible, but the onions themselves were a bit raw for my liking. I'm usually one to finish everything served to me no matter how much, and I couldn't finish my onion rings. My girlfriend ate about half of her steak before giving up and was only able to complete 1 onion ring. And now we wait... And wait... And wait... I mentioned that we were not allowed inside because of how apparently busy they were expecting to be. In the time we sat down (about half an hour at this point) we saw about 3-4 tables leave, 1 couple arrive, and this new arrival were the only ones sitting in the front of the restaurant inside. There seemed to be hidden seating in the back somewhere. Besides them, nobody was inside near the front doors. Meanwhile, we sat outside in a rainy evening with 2 other couples outside nearby. So, a little more upset now than earlier to see what we were passed by on to require us to sit outside. But I digress! The reason I say this is to note that the time we and the 3 other tables were dining (8 people total, 6 outside including us, and 2 inside), we were being served in tandem by the hostess and 1 server. Neither of which were very inclined to actually come to our table to ask how we were doing. I thought it was apparent we wanted to move on because we sat right next to the main door and were visible by them every time they came inside or out, and for the fact that we had not touched our plates for 30 minutes and were running out of things to talk about with each other. I guess 30 minutes is the magic number though, as at about that mark AFTER finishing our dinner did we get asked how we were doing. At which point we were able to tell them that we were done with our meal and ready for dessert. Don't get me wrong, I'm not afraid to get the server's attention to let them know, but at that point in the meal we were already not impressed and so wanted to see how long it would take them to actually come to our table and ask us how we were doing. Note to others, it's '30 minutes'. We ended up both getting the flourless black forest cake for dessert as it was the only option on the menu. It was good. Very rich chocolate mousse (I don't see how it was considered a cake but to each their own) with candied black cherries and a whipped cream on the side. Just enough on the plate to where I'm not complaining about having eaten too much sweets. Even without the service and ambience being a factor, the dessert was not close to being enough to make up for the less than stellar appetizer and mains we had earlier. Top the poor food with the poor service and having to sit 5 feet from the rain from 8:30 til 10pm (an hour of which spent waiting as opposed to actually having food in front of us) made Bedrock a poor experience all around. I'm sure they do better for their $100 steaks as opposed to their $58++ set meal for restaurant week, but as the other commenter noted, if a steakhouse isn't even close to providing a quality steak then why bother trying again? For us, we will not be bothering any more...

Love e steak portion 300gm. However if the steak can be served warmer/hotter it will taste even better. With a few pinch of salt added on e pipping hot steak will be awesome! ☺️👍🏻

Have always enjoyed the food and service at Bedrock but was really disappointed with the service today. My hostess was very impatient and I had difficulties getting their attention to place our orders. Food was superb as always, but I left with a bad taste in my mouth as I was overcharged for my bill. Luckily I check the bill and pointed it out to the waitress. We had to wait an extra 10 minutes for them to rectify their mistake and they were not very apologetic about it. Overall their service is more comparable to a mass market chain than an upscale restaurant. Really disappointed and not sure if I would ever return again. 5/5 for the food 1/5 for the service

Ordered a medium rare grain fed ribeye steak but was served a Medium Well done steak.... My cousin ordered a medium grass fed sirloin & they gave her a Well Done piece of meat!! Their only saving grace was their mac & cheese...

It's my first time been there to celebrate friend's birthday. Honestly I'm not a steak person and medium rare is usually too much for me, but after having the medium rare dry aged steak I was very amazed how I'm able to finish the whole thing without feeling like I'm forcing myself. And the Mac and cheese is definitely the best I've ever had! Love the ambience there too!

The quality of the food doesn't match the price. And I expected more of the service. The restaurant wasn't packed and yet they seemed incredibly rushed and messy, constantly forgetting the orders, order placement by individuals and failure to inform about side dishes that were delayed due to it being overcooked. I ordered a rib eye steak, 400g for almost $100. The middle was medium rare (as ordered) but it gradually became more and more well done towards the side. And this steak was of the same thickness throughout so I have no idea how they managed to achieve that. Initially wanted to try their desserts but I reconsidered after tasting the main dishes as my expectations plummeted rapidly. Overall, the service staff were friendly enough (although one of them had a very strong cigarette odour) and the food was not bad but it definitely wasn't worth the price. You can get better at less in other places and I won't be recommending this place to anyone.

Great steak! The service is excellent too. My wife steak came without the correct doness and they actually replace it with another one. The steak taste better than the one I had at Morton's and will recommend people to go. Last but not least, the day that we visited is my wife's birthday and the restaurant actually prepare fot her a free dessert and Polaroid photo taken at the restaurant. 2 thumbs up.

We have a table before 8pm, waited for more than 15 mins before someone came to take our orders. They placed the dining utensils after taking orders. It’s 9.22pm and we finished the starters long ago but no one came to clear the table until we asked. The main courses finally came with the sides at 9.25pm. If u like to wait for your food and u like them lukewarm, try this place. Btw the beef was medium rather than the medium rare that we requested. The saving grace was the server was apologetic and polite and they did service recovery.

Satisfied with the food but the service needs to be improved. For a restaurant at this price, the service standard is pretty poor. Waiter/waitress is not attentive, no recommendation of food nor wine. There were food served to wrong table. Hope the restaurant management look into improving the service.

My husband and I have celebrated several special occasions here. We keep coming back as we really enjoy the juicy steaks and cosy ambience of the restaurant. Their staff are friendly and service is impeccable too. Without a doubt Bedrock is our favorite steakhouse in Singapore!

Having the right attitude at the start, deserve excellence credits for services & quality food served. Easy to access location, alight at Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Orchard or via Somerset station! Baby has enjoyed his actual birthday celebration at Bedrock Bar & Grill.

I experienced true hospitality and spirit of excellence at Bedrock. The unique recipes, creation of dishes from scratch, attention to minute details even for side dishes like mashed potatoes and garlic spread were all delivered through impeccable and genuine service by the staff. If you are looking for just a place with cheap food and poor service, please don't patronize this place. Otherwise, I will strongly recommend it, especially to my friends. Two thumbs up!
