Seem to have a wide variety of dessert and food options as well. Couple of parking spaces for cars and motorbikes. Located behind Camillian hospital, quite hidden (probably wouldn't go there on foot). Prices are equivalent to other roasteries, or "third wave" coffee shops.
This is the place where you find lots of variety in food... Good place to visit with family and friends...we had streaky backon and scrambled egg good food....staff was also nice and served on time...
4.3 out of 10. This is a funky hipster place recommended to us by a well credentialled local. It goes off big time on weekends, apparently. The fit out and decor are nice here and the food and coffee match the vibe. We ordered the simple brekkie with a few added things. It was hard to fault anything. The dish was very good. The egg and added smoked salmon were particularly fine. We ordered granola too which arrived second. We cared not because it was superb. It was beautifully presented and was soft, flavoursome and lovely. The yoghurt was outstanding. We had flawless coffees to finish. As good as I’ve ever had anywhere. The service was lovely. It’s a very good cafe. Highly recommended.

Had breakfast at this place with my husband today. As you step inside Populus, you realize what they specialize in from the strong aroma of roasted coffee beans. They have several selections on coffee beans, besides their signature house blend, they also offer 4 types of beans based on its flavor attributes -Ethiopia, Colombia, Panama and Kenya.
Quite forget on the details (just ask their barista by yourself! :) ), I tried the Panama beans for my 8oz cappuccino (you can choose between 6oz or 8oz size) AND ...... I was very happy with my coffee!!
For SGD6, they successfully bring out the fruitful taste of the Panama beans.
Besides happy with the coffee, I also satisfied with their avocado superfood green platter. We planned to share the platter, but since I like it very much, I finished them all by myself and left my husband nothing (lol). The platter consists of any green leaf you ever think of (kale, broccoli, spinach), edamame and topped with feta and cottage cheese). Quite pricey for Salad (SGD21) but since it tastes good, so it is alright.
The staffs were very attentive. The music and the ambience were good. My overall experience : 5/5

This restaurant will give you an immense pleasure to visit, they will offer you a variety of tasty food that will make you memories. The cost is also low, hence you get a perfect place for your meals.
Went there with my wife on Sunday. Really enjoyed my steak and mash with greens and mushrooms. Really good food and reasonably priced for that quality. Highly recommend. You guys just shud allow your guests to smoke on that lovely balcony you have ;)

I went there for dinner with my friends on a Thursday evening and the place was almost full. We were looking for food options and chanced upon this cafe. I had the Mushroom and Pesto pasta which I thought was pretty decently executed. Although, I have to say that it was quite salty and towards the end of the meal, I couldn’t finish it. I would say that the environment and atmosphere is fantastic though. It was nice and cozy and provided my friends and I a quaint little place to chill and catch up. Would probably come back here again if I’m in the area and maybe try some of their other menu items.

My usual order from here is the iced Mocha and also the pancakes a perfect breakfast for me I really enjoy having food from here and also it is really pocket friendly so you try it out

It's a little crowded during the weekends but managed to chope a place first. We were given a private room at the basement and the staff are very accommodating, check on us like every 15 min to make sure that our orders are taken despite it was really busy. Thumbs up for the service! Food wise is pretty decent and the coffee is really awesome. One of the nicest coffee I had in Singapore cafes!
Above average for Singapore which equates to average in Sydney having been a serial brunch goer for many years.
Go to dishes: buckwheat pancake, waffles and the supergreen bowl. Coffee is pretty good but comes at a price. There's always a queue so book online and try to come a bit earlier. They've recently opened up a space upstairs so there's more seating available but it still gets pretty busy.
Nice place for a catch up. It's got a very younger gen feel to the place and people like to linger.
I like the atmosphere in here because its located in a place that is not so crowded, i was walking casually around here and found this place. I ordered the summer ramen noodle salad and ginger beer (yes i’m a biggie fan of ginger beer wherever i go😂). It tastes good and fresh, the portions are filling enough for a light meal. The roasted chicken aint really overcooked, everything fits right in a place. Overall i like the foods, but for the service... i didnt really got a friendly service, just one friendly waitress that serve me with intention.
Will mind myself to go back at least once sometime😄
When I travel I often look for off the beaten path places for great food and drink. Populus was a Friend's recommendation and a great one. We went there for the extensive coffee selection as well as a really eclectic food selection. I had the soft scrambled eggs with thick British bacon. My traveling companion had the Avocado Super Food Green Plater and raved about how good it was. Exodic regional coffees. I had the Gibralter latte and the White Coffee (comes in a rootbeer like bottle) Both very very good.
Service was pretty good, the place is quite comfy, though not the most homy.
Caffe latte +French vanilla-actually a bit acidic, but thr vanilla kinda help (5.5 +0.5)
Rendang donburi-barely eat rendang when i was living in indonesia and here i am eating this delicacy. I dont eat a lot of rendangs, but this one is a bit different, braising liquid-wise (different type?). Still has that richness and the beef is a lot more tender than what i had. The pickles, rice, etc were good as well. (20)
Buckwheat pancake (19.5)-a somewhat denser hotcake. Was very dense that i thought the maple syrup barely give any sweetness to it. Saying that though, i quite like it

The rating of this place does not justify the actual experience at all. Went here on Sunday, the place was packed but comfortable and cozy enough for me and my friends to have a chit chat. The server said that we only got 1.5 hour as we did not reserve our table so that is fine by us.
Coffee was great and the grain bowl thar I ordered was superb (and in big portion for SG's standard). My friend ordered the heirloom rendang, and it was definitely a hit.
Place is quite packed when we arrived.. when we left, people were queuing to get in.
We just had coffee which was very good. Plenty of dishes as well - items for breakfast as well as lunch / dinner.
Would have liked to see acai bowl and some more variety of cakes as well.
