Lovely cosy place with friendly staff.
The charcuterie board they made for us was amazing!! Loved the octopus starter. It came with little pasta balls. The white asparagus was really good too. The lamb rack was divine. The seafood bouillabaisse was nice too. Unfortunately, the rabbit was overcooked. Sides were nice.
It was a last min change of plan. Was lucky that we managed to have a table even without reservation yesterday.
Had set lunch. Price was reasonable. Food portion was acceptable. Ambience was great too.
Had omakase set twice for lunch ($60 and $100). Enjoyed every dishes. Meats quality is very nice and preparation perfect. Wine list could be improved.
A good unpretentious french restaurant with good food that is well priced. The service was good during my visit - the wait staff was attentive and nice! I was most impressed by the homemade charcuterie board - the foie pate was airy and divine, as well as the chicken liver pate. The warm tomato tart tatin was quite nice as well, but the star was the epoisse gratin - oh my! The lovely flavor of epoisse cheese with melty potatoes - we were all fighting for it! The lamb chop was overcooked and I sent it back - it came back better the second time round but I think they did not thaw the meat enough as it was more cooked on the edges than the inside, but the flavors were still good, and they were kind enough to give me some snacks while I was waiting. The letdown of the night was the chilled lobster ravioli - it wasn’t pasta but a gelatin layer over it and the lobster was overcooked and dry. Regardless, I think the good dishes are good enough for me to definitely return, and I have heard good things abt the Bouillabaisse and duck confit.
Visited during Restaurant Week 2021.
Bread came warm and toasted, great start to our meal!
Petite Charcuterie Platter - Our first time trying this and did not know how to appreciate it, was not to our taste but really just personal preference.
Yellow Fin Tuna Ceviche - Very nicely done, loved the yuzu ponzu paired with it!
Mussels - This was bombdiggity!!! We polished this clean. Must order must try!
Braised Wagyu Beef Cheeks - Huge portion, very soft and melty meat.
Pink Snapper - Cooked perfectly, the skin was crispy!! Loved the prawn risotto well cooked and great flavours.
Chocolate Choux - Q disappointing.. thankfully by then we were so full from the starters and mains.
We also ordered the Potato Gratin after seeing the raving reviews online and did not disappoint! It was so creamy and hugeeee serving, we finished it clean cause it was that delish!
Will recommend this place!
Tired their Omakase menu. All the food was on point. The pork jowl is a winner. Soft and tasty. They have great wine to pair with the food as well. But the food took awhile to serve. Good for long lunches!!
Great restaurant located in Chinatown of Singapore, excellent frech food, french wines and delicious plates. Is small restaurant but you can feel confortable. Service is good and location very good, near other restaurants and bars and the life area of chinatown bars.
Really enjoyed ourselves at Bar-A-Thyme last evening. The food was delicious, and service was great. It was also my first time trying traditional bouillabaisse with rouille; totally surprised at how amazing it is!
