The best Indian vegetarian food places in Singapore, and hass been here since 1947. It serves only vegetarian options. Usually takes time to get a table. Staff is friendly and food amazing. Pocket friendly prices.
Ghee dosa is a must try for those visiting for the first time. Good food for a hungry soul. An old joint, still keeping up the traditional way of operating.
Well, pretty much one of the most famous restaurants in Little India. Has been here since 1947 and still running strong and packed always. I went solo, so had to share my table with other solo walk-ins.
Went for brunch. They had two options, Rice meal or a-la-carte. A-la-carte is at the ground level where as they serve rice meal on level 1. Tried the Onion Uttapam, Came with Sambhar and 2 chutneys - Coconut and Garlic. Sambhar was outstanding. Wanted to stay light so didn't go for another dish. You can't not have the Filter Coffee here. Piping hot, so you need to pour the coffee from glass into another cup, so that it cools. But so yum!
In case you want to try authentic south Indian food, come here and try this!
I was here for lunch bcs i saw the high rating on zomato. Quite packed up with local and some tourists. I ordered masala dosai bcs that is the favorite menu. A lot of varieties of veg foods. Curry tastes great. But just good, nothing really outstanding.
Great selection of Indian veg food, comparable to anything eaten in India (North or South) or in the extensive Indian community in Melbourne where we live, service was great, efficient but very caring.
One of the best place for South Indian food in Singapore... staff is good and friendly.. served beautifully...we tried there masala dosa and I want to say dosa was amazing we loved it.. ❤️❤️

I happened to visit this place on a Saturday evening to have some Indian food, and man they didn't disappointed me at all. The service was awesome, the staff was very polite and courteous and the food was finger licking good. I ordered an Andhra meals and the variety of veggies on my banana leaf was quite satisfactory to see and eat.

Tasty! Cost friendly, delicious and fast service. Very, very busy and be prepared you may be seated with others to fill space. Loved the place.
Damn man, everyone so friendly. Got the thosai for breakfast, was the only tourist in the place, was stared at but could not wipe the smile off my face. Delicious food, nice people, nothing else to wish for.
Masala dosa is very tasty and delicious and that is made with best quality product and the staff is very friendly with their customers and I will visit this restaurant again
I visited this with my friends and family members and food is very amazing and tasty the staff is also very friendly and attentive in services towards their customer and decoration of the restaurant is very beautiful
Extremely popular and value for money. Tasty food. In addition to the lovely meals, the dosas and puris are very good . The restaurant is a little old and not so fancy but worth a try!
People who love indian food specially south indian are at the right place to have a breakfast with indian food amaizng taste food is delicious
Had an awesome dinner hea which was South Indian Meals. The quantity was excellent and it was super hot. The thing which I dint like about the restaurant is, it’s not clean. The management has to look into this aspect seriously. This place is so crowded only coz of the good taste which they provide if they take care about cleanliness part would be cherry on the top!
This is a very good place to have some Authentic South Indian food, I love the food here. It’s just that it’s always crowded. But the wait is worth the quality and the taste. I just don’t like the way they organise guest. They don’t help getting seats we have to find our own and most of the times or at Least this is second time I was waiting but others who came after us just went in and took away seats.
The service seemed a bit slow may be this person serving us was having a bad day. But as its said what ends well all is well. The food was amazing.
we had Masala Dosa, Coffee ,The servers here are just wonderful and have great memories it seems. the air conditioning 😊. I just want to say that, in addition to a nice meal,
This place in Singapore is serving traditional south indian food since 1947. They had breakfast menu like idly, 15+ dosa, pongal, upma, poori and vadai. They serve us with 2 different chutney and 1 Cup of sambar. Must visit place in little india Singapore for south Indian Breakfast.
Went to this place for breakfast and had the south indian platter. The idli was soft and fluffy...also the dosa was quite fresh and tasty.
This place has good service and is a great stop when your are craving for some Indian food im Singapore.
The masala to send the copy also amazing to have from here I would definitely recommended my brother also love is this place so this is a weekly visit for us highly recommended
We had south indian meal worth 8.5$ and 9$. Very very satisfying and tasty food. Must visit place if you are craving for good food. Worth the place and food.
If you're a Indian tourist in Singapore, I'm sure this place is a must visit for some authentic south Indian food, the costs are very reasonable, the food is tasty too.
Over the course of my week in Singapore, was here quite frequently.
I had a range of dishes
Medu Vadai
Masala Dosa
Rawa Dosa
Idli
Poori bhaji
Everything was delicious
Surely a must visit
Good place for breakfast. Ambience clean and neat. The restaurant has roots from Tamil and which is apparent with the interiors, (they glass shelf with sweets and savouries stacked) and the food vengaya chutney or red chutney served with the items and the particular sambar which has drumstick. Good place for breakfast, quick and neat place with friendly neat, servers, not a place where one can hang out for a quite meal, but food is good. We were there twice, had the vada, masala dosa, ghee dosa, parota chilly, coffee and tea. Looked more cleaner than the Ananda Bhavan couple of shops before it.
It is really nice place to visit with our loved ones food is good and tasty and zummy must try aleast once whenever u r in the town awesome place
Visited Komala vilas restaurant in Serangoon road on 3rd August for mid afternoon late lunch. The restaurant was full even then. There were a lot of south Indian dishes available. We had dosa, chappathi, poori, bajji and filter coffee. Needless to say the food was delicious. It's a shame we couldn't go back as we only stayed for 3 days.
If you are in Singapore and happen to miss home cooked food, Komals vilas is a place which would give you that home feels. Went on a sunday afternoon and had to wait for about 10 minutes, but it was totally worth it. Loved the food. Would definitely visit again.
amazing taste of food , great place to visit there and enjoy delicios taste of food. i strongly recommend to visit there foe awesome taste of food.
Good place for south Indian food. We ordered Mysore Masala Dosa, Onion Rava Masala Dosa and Filter Coffee. Other than the Rava Masala, everything else was very good.Ambience is like a non AC typical Matunga type south Indian restaurant. Although they have a restaurant upstairs for meals
The masala dosa and the coffee are so amazing from here really had a great experience on having the food from here! Highly recommended outlet indeed!
We were actually going to eat in another place recommended by the lonely planet guide, but this place smelled amazing and was heaving with locals. We went in and thank goodness we did. Amazing food. Quick and inexpensive (and great AC!). The restaurant is a bit chaotic, adding to what feels like a quite genuine experience. Whilst queuing for the bathroom, I got taking to a chap who told me the Prime Minister of Singapore eats here and had brought the Indian Prime Minister on a visit too. No idea if it’s true but I could believe it.
Go to place for those who crave some South Indian delicacies! Especially for vegetarians who miss their fair share of dosais! A bit on the pricier side, but definitely worth the visit if you totally miss the good old Komala Vilas experience back home! Tends to get packed, obviously because of the high demand, but worth the visit!
Always an awesome place for vegetarian food. Filter coffee is my favourite and idlies over here. Almost all kinds of food are tasty here. Love this place
Great South Indian food. We loved it. Puri chole was awesome. Their Masala dosai was too good in that area. They have all Indian menu, everyone loves their food.
The Andhra meals here alone has Calories summing up to what you would have for dinner and breakfast together! Splendid work on giving the perfect South Indian ambience xD

At last ordered Mango Lassi to finish the course meal, awsome taste.
This restaurant makes vegetarian food and was recommended.I had chapatti meal which was filling and really delicious ,many sauces and dishes to dip type bread in .

Located in little India, Singapore. The place provide South Indian as well as north indian food. Food quality and taste was good. Seating capacity is nominal. Prices are ok.
Komala is a perfect choice when craving for the south Indian food and it is located at the right location. Love their dosa, vada. It is quite pocket friendly so it is a good choice to enjoy but usually crowded.
Tucked on the corner below the park Hotel , it’s a budget place and delight for pure vegetarians . We had take away food once and had inside restaurant on the other occasion . The seating is cramped . Service time is short. Biryani with poori combo is good at ~9 and comes with a drink. Cholle bhature, coffee and poori combo costed total of ~16 and all of it tasted nice.
The food was great. If you’re looking for authentic South Indian cuisine in Singapore, then this should be on your bucket list. Try their Dosai meal, it’s mouth watering, value for money and would definitely leave you asking for more!
Always a good feeling to see an Indian restaurant in foreign destination and that too an udupi one. Needed to have some healthy breakfast after a tiring flight. Sada dosa, medu vada, idli sambar chutni and then a cup of hot coffee refreshed our minds for the tour!!

If in a cheap price if you wanna try some nice food in Singapore where mind you that rarely you gonna find a place with good food at lower price so give this place a try.Food prepared here is undoubtedly great and service is good.
We visited this place little late in the night and fortunately it was still open. We ordered dosas and south indian meals and the taste was good. Service was quick as well. Pricing was average. I would recommend this place if someone is looking for south indian food in Singapore especially who's staying around Little India.
Excellent When it came over we were awed! Hugggeeee bomb of crisp dough! With the crunch on the outside you wouldn't even expect the soft chewy texture when eating it with that lovely chick pea curry dip! Yum! And at a cheap price too! Komala's worth a visit if you haven't already!!
We had a great dinner here, the food was fantastic and the staff was friendly and attentive. We tried the rice set, which had a few things we'd never tried as well as Chana masala and aloo mutter. It was all great. The only complaint was the naan was too small and we had to get extra orders!
The restaurant is located very close to the little India MRT which makes it easily accessible wherever you are staying in Singapore. The food and hygiene is very good. Must visit place for vegetarians traveling to Singapore.
Must visit for food lovers.
Busy during weekends, be prepared to wait up.
Order and you'll be served quickly.

This is a no frills, pocket friendly restaurant at the heart of Little India. The food portions are good, its authentic and great for budget travellers looking for Indian food. The service is slightly laid back but the food makes up for it. Must try
This place is very good for Indian food. Best to avoid the Chinese cuisine here. Its basically a self-service place and reasonably priced.

Price - 4/5
Food - 3.5/5
Ambience - 3.5/5
Service - 3/5
The food was too oily for my liking. Wish the service was good to make it a better experience.
Thanks for komal villas. Helped for every day brunch. Stayed in little india. Komal villas is one of the best place to taste good breakfast snack.
Best place to have breakfast while in Singapore. All the 4 days we had our breakfast here.
The pongal and vada here was especially great. We also used to pack the Pongal for lunch, because of the ghee the pongal remained soft.
The combo offers are good. We had upma and it tasted great.
Though priced little higher, but when on a vacation it is fine.
