Review Binomio - Singapore

Had the vegetarian paella. Authentic, but wished it was slightly more charred on the bottom. Also, the vegetables used could be improved, instead of just long beans red capsicum and too much rosemary. Those I had in valencia had artichoke and other good stuff. Bear in mind the wait might be around 45min. And even though it says for 2, it by itself is not enough to fill 2 people, you should order at least 1 or 2 tapas more. Croquettes were really nice. It's creamy on the inside, instead of potato. Oxtail ragout was great too, fall off the bone tender, and red wine sauce was not overpowering but mellow and rich Would give the cheese truffle terrine and bread a miss though, it's filling but nothing fantastic. Service was OK- prompt, polite but did not go the extra mile or smile much. They looked very busy and possibly shorthanded.

Service was quite shocking. The service staff seems unhappy, and rather be somewhere else. Most of the time, there were no service staff in sight. And when we finally got hold of a waiter and tried to order food, he walked off mid sentence. And he did that twice. Manager seems indifferent when we gave feedback about the food, mumbled something and walked off with the food. Every dish was super salty, leaving all of us very thirsty for hours after. The tiger prawns were extremely mushy, and not cooked through. Basically, not fresh and undercooked. Recipe for food poisoning. Overall, a horrid experience, and a terrible way to end the year. Would highly NOT recommend this place.

Been here for more than 5 times, the 6 tapas + 1 bottle of wine is very good value. Got a wide selections for tapas - that’s the best thing compare to most of Spanish places. But the food can improve a little more… the meatballs need a bit more seasoning, croquettes a bit too creamy/ liquid inside and not crispy enough outside. Fried baby squid is warm not hot.. but generally it’s above average!

We ordered the 5 tapas from tapas tasting menu and my, portions are huge! Almost couldn't walk after. Luckily the waiter stopped us when we were looking at ordering 7 tapas, saying it will definitely be too much🤣 quality was top notch and it seemed pretty authentic too.

The best place for tapas in town, I loved the garlic prawn the most, it was full of flavours with the texture of fresh prawns. I also loved the pan seared foie gras. the outside was perfectly caramelized and the inside was moist and rich.

One of my fav Spanish restaurants in singapore. Food was really good! Service was a little slow but the food made up for it. The tapas portions were big so we ended up over ordering. My fav were the prawn and veal! The croquettes were good too. $139 for 5 tapas is def worth it. Will definitely come again

The meal is good in general. The fig and liver paella is delicious, only the stew was not so nice but overall is good. Service is ok but can be better.

Came here with my family on a friend’s recommendation. I have never been to Spain, and this is the first time i have been to a Spanish Restaurant, so i am unable to compare it to real Spanish food. However, i can say that we are happy with the food served. It was of good quality, delicious and generous quantity. I am not sure why the other reviewer said the prawn was half cooked. It was indeed half cooked, but not unintentional. I would say it is somewhere between Aburi style Sashimi and Sous Vide Prawns. This method of half cooked is quite common in fine dining now, but usually used for Lobsters. I guess it is more cost friendly to use prawns and i can say the result was delicious, if you know what you are eating. Even my wife who does not eat Sashimi likes it. So please order it if you are there, it was really good with the garlic butter sauce. The other favourite of mine was the croquettes. So soft and creamy inside and crispy outside. My dad likes the lamb and my mum souped up the marrow. By the time the paella came, we were very full and had to tapao for another day. Which the Manager recommended, saying that paella actually tastes better the longer after it is cooked as the rice absorbs more of the sauce. My wife made a mistake booking the bar area, and when we arrived, we saw there was a dining area too, so we requested for it. The hostess told us the menu, price and quantity is different. After we finished, i went to check out the bar menu and saw that it just has no main course, only tapas and starters, the price is cheaper and so the quantity is also smaller. Next time we will come back to sit at the bar with the smaller portions and try different tapas. I do agree with the other reviewer about the service staff though. Often stoned face and just going through motions. But the Manager was very hospitable and friendly. If only the staff were all friendly like the Manager and it would great!
