We celebrated a birthday brunch here and was a pleasant experience.🙂 Food was good. Service was good. Coffee was good.
While there was nothing to complain about, there wasn't much to shout out about too. Pricing was average, not overly expensive. Given the reviews, we were hoping for a memorable experience, but it fell short.
One thing we observe is that it's really crowded here on any given day. So make reservations and be punctual. Almost lost our table cos one of us was at the crossing and was a little late.
Yes 🤗 it was nice enough for us to consider coming by again when we are in the vicinity and it it wasn't too crowded

Came here on a weekday before 10am and it was almost full! Tolido's serves a good cup of coffee + hearty foods (Truffle Scrambled Eggs, Stout Glazed Bacon French Toast were superb!) We also tried their Homemade Fudgy Brownies but it was only okay. Overall a nice place to hang out!

I have lost count on how many times I have patronised this place!!!
The coffee is great and hits the spot everytime! The Rosti is also one of the best I've had in a qhile and their service and overall food is gooddd!
This time around we had the Pandan Pancake w Coconut Ice Cream, Rosti w Cheesy Sausage, Pesto Pasta, Savoury French Toast, Beef Stew and my fav... Sea Salt Caramel Latte!!!

Long wait time, but worth the wait. Brilliant English breakfast. Filling brunch plates. Bacon could be a tad better. Salted caramel coffee is a must have.

My 2nd time here but this time with a different group of friends.
3 of them have not tried this place at all. Conclusion from them is they totally love the food.
Each of us paid $25 as we ordered 4 dishes.

Went in Dec 2020. It indeed lived up to its hype! Laksa pasta was good. Especially loved the pancake with ice cream. So simple yet good.

Come here for the food, don’t come for the service. If you remove the service, probably close to 5 stars. Good food here.
Started off on the right foot as we were seated to a table pretty much as soon as we arrived. For 12 pm, really awesome. They let me know to order at the counter when we were ready. Still good.
Approached the counter where another patron was scanning the menu and deciding; instead of taking the next order they allowed them to decide. Not a big deal but a tad irritating considering others in line were clearly ready to order. People started to bunch up so the till asked us to line up but not in the order that people showed up but a completely different order and continued to allow the person in front to take their time to scan the menu. Not impressed. Move them aside? Order was finally taken but that was not the best impression. Either better signage or the host should pay more attention to their patrons by the host at the till.
Went back to my seat and was approached by another worker that their espresso machine stopped working and whether I wanted to change to another beverage or if I wanted a refund. I elected for a refund and a glass of water. He told me to go up to the front to process the refund. Fine. Went up the till only to be told that they have no ability to process refunds as they are a cashless store. I’m all for cashless, I rarely carry it but to advertise that you are cashless but have no ability to refund money to your clients for mistakes or inconveniences is down right wrong. Now maybe I missed a sign in front that explicitly says that we don’t process refunds, order at your own risk. But I still found this cost saving measure, to not pay for this service, to be unacceptable. Another server came by to ask if I had paywave, but being a visitor it isn’t something that I had and definitely not something I’m going to sign up for, for $5. No further attempts were made for service recovery. They didn’t pay us any more attention or try to give us an extra dessert to “make it right”.
Our food arrived and it was great. Laksa pasta was tasty and not too jelak. The rosti was tasty and brimmed with truffle aroma. Awesome.
We finished our entrees and waited for the dessert. I looked around and wondered if we needed to go up to the counter to get our dessert by ourselves. We sat close to the kitchen, I was quite tempted to ask the chef myself through the window. I finally was able to flag down a waiter who promptly checked on the dessert and it arrived. Again. Food? Delicious.
We left shortly thereafter. They thanked us for our patronage but no apologies for this debacle. I’m not sure I would come back or recommend this place to anyone I know. Clearly their system is not catered towards foreigners or to them making mistakes or any unforeseen circumstances as they have no service recovery protocols to speak of. Sad. It’s 2022.

I walked past this place thrice in the past because of its usual snaking queue, but finally made it into the cafe last weekend when there was no queue early in the morning ✨ The truffle eggs were amazing and the portion was huge for my small morning stomach. My friend loved his rosti - which is good, coming from a great cook himself. We loved their ice blended too - great for a warm morning! The staff we interacted with were super friendly, which is a huge plus. Also, note that there is a dining limit of one hour (iirc) so do hurry or you WILL be reminded to leave asap!
