Review Shutters - Sentosa Island

Good food, great service, nice ambience albeit a little out of the way since it is on Sentosa. The lobster bisque had bits of lobster meat & the mushroom soup is made from fresh mushrooms. Steak was tasty too. And the hor fun was really good. Service was great, in particular Javon Low. Really cheery, polite and attentive.

Tasty and nice. The fish and chips stands out in particular for me. Drinking water was served. How to get there - go in by the hotel entrance, keep right and keep walking up, take the lift to level 2.

We were there for lunch because we have the Entertainer 1 for 1. The chicken chop reminds me of hawker Center western food. The fish & chips and burger were alright but not worth the price. All in all, go if you cannot find anything to eat nearby and if you have discount. This is sad :(

Overall a not so nice experience ✅Bread rolls were nice and toasty but why are the butter in its container melted? ❌Lobster Bisque - way too salty. Salt is cheap but don’t have to so generous. ✅Baked Cod and Salmon fillet - just nicely done. ❌Braised thick veal shank - a good sized portion but meat doesn’t separate from the bone, and the mean is tougher than expected ✅ Pulut Hitam - generous portion but can be a turn off as deserts are to be complement a meal and of a smaller portion ❌ Very limited selection of drinks ❌ Poor maintenance of the place - loose floor boards leading to venue. Major trip hazard - pathway to toilet is not well lit - dirty kids high chair - guest who chose to dine outside is literally eating in the dark

We had breakfast here as part of the hotel stay. Due to Covid restrictions, there is no buffet. You order from a limited menu and are served at your table. The apple juice and the OJ were good. The food was mediocre at best. The nasi lemak was very bland and there was not much of anything. The Shutters breakfast was okay, but looked a little sad. Service was great and staff were friendly, but a little overworked.

Nice location but at best an average dinner experience. Only 5 guests in the restaurant and we were told that they had run out of wine glasses, hence serving the red in water glasses. We asked for some bread to be served with our salad and learned that "the chef was a bit tight with the bred... '

Had a dinner and breakfast here. Food was amazing. However the staff service was a disaster. We Indian couple were blind to them. I checked for reviews and could find that they really indeed has race based preference and even respect. It seems they don't change based on reviews as well. We got a tea that was prepared with cold water. When asked to replace it, it never came back. Worst of all there's a male staff who's very rude. At the end of our dinner, I waved him to bring me a glass of water. He looked at me angrily, mouthed some words and just took his bag and left the restaurant fast. I looked around and there was nobody else. May be it was closing time but what was that?

We been to Shutters couple of times as it is one place that we can easily get seated quickly in nice cosy environment and the food was always good. This round however it fell a little short with the fish and chips as part of the batter look underdone. Still a nice place to get a decent meal.
